"I can't find Kora," Emily said, walking down the stairs. She wore a frown on her face mirroring her displeasure and worry. "Alpha isn't here either."
Levi sighed. This was not the time to start looking for their leaders. If word of this was to spread, it would send panic to everyone. As if to add to his worry, Emily said,
"I can't even mind-link either of them." she stopped beside him and looked up the stairs as if expecting them to appear right there and then.
"Stop," he placed a hand on her mouth to stop her from speaking, making him more antsy than he already was. "Please."
Emily kept silent after seeing the expression he wore. She had unknowingly made him more worried than he should have with her words. "I am sure they are somewhere around," she said, trying to ease his worry.
