I don't remember how long I was hiding in the closet maybe a few minutes or perhaps a few hours? tough to determine what to do next while suffocating in the hot, dark, and cramped closet. How long must I hide from the creature's eyes?
'Haruto completely overlooked the additional rule that the lighted candle must never run out or he would automatically lose the game while feeling secure and cowardly hiding within the closet. The lit candle is towards the end of the lit string after two hours; it will only stay for a short time.'
"hehe" My dad's message only made me feel more hopeless. What am I doing with my life hiding like this inside of my closet? I simply don't know what to do. Am I really going to die like this?
I shouldn't have tried this game since the monster is formidable with only a glance and it would threaten my life.
I'm terrified, but I don't want to die.
'Haruto is in despair, unaware that the candle, which has been lit for several minutes, has only a few seconds remaining.'
My phone! I left it with the candles in front of my bed; I need to call for help, but who?
Should I drag Genji into this?
I need to grab my phone, so there isn't time to think.
After resolving to retrieve my phone, I opened my closet to see whether it was safe to go. I caught a glimpse of my phone next to the actually
nearly burnt out candle and instantly remembered that the candle must never run out according to the game's rules. Seeing this I can feel that the candle is most likely to go out within only a tiny of a seconds.
My heart feels like it will explode from the sudden anxiety I've been under. The game is about to end, and my life is on the line. At that very instance, a second felt like a minute and a few steps felt like a mile. I run to the second candle on the floor in a panic because I have to light it.
My first step created a thumping noise.
The shadowy figure quickly moves and peers through my bedroom window.
As unfortunate as it might be, the figure passed me. With the very first step, my leg cramped out.
I forgot that I had been hiding for such a long time that it had died and became a jelly. Fortunately, my bed frame blocked its line of
sight, so I was able to hide in front of my bed, light the second candle, and grab my phone at the same time.
I held my breath the entire time as it tried to look through the window, 'Come on, I can't hold on much longer!' having felt cold sweat drip down my back, and it felt like an eternity. Eventually, it gave up and moved to other windows in my apartment, and I was finally able to breathe again. I thought I might pass out, I carefully opened up my phone, set it to silent, and decided to call Genji, but I was in a dilemma the creature might hear.
