Chapter 63 - Chapter 63 : Behind the Flame

They finally saw the result of the fight. It was shocking to say the least. Turned out that Enjar came out as the winner inside that wall of flame!

Either Lumberis' group and Clind's group expected the result to be this way when they saw the curtain lifted up. For Lumberis and his men, they were told about the plan and how Enjar was confident to take out the experts by himself as long as the villagers could keep the goons busy.

While Clind's group also expected it when they knew just how important their support was. If the goons were put out of the picture, then from the observation that they had from when they were fighting Enjar, then the result was in their expectation.

What made it shocking was that Enjar was able to defeat them looking unscatched! He naturally still had the injuries that he had suffered before, but he was able to defeat them without receiving any significant injuries on his body.

Not only that, all of the experts had fallen, with quite serious injuries plastered on their bodies. Arin was pierced through his right thigh, Alvred had burn injuries on his body, the thin man had a hole on his arm, and another one had long graze injuries on his chest.

The similarities between them all was that, all of them were laying on the ground, suffering from the pain that they received. The agonizing pain was quite different, as if it they felt some burning on their bodies, especially at the place where the injuries were located.

Enjar was grinning as he looked at the people, either from the experts that could not do anything, or the goons that seemed like they were frozen from the fear that they were feeling right now.

How could this be possible!? They did not want to believe that it was all real! If this was to be the case, then they should have been advancing forward even though many casualties were to be expected! Alas, the woods had become ashes and they could only wallow in regret

Because at this moment, the future seemed bleak to them. They did not know what kind of treatment, or even punishment, came onto them. Their expressions were tense, fear could easily be seen on their faces.

The villagers naturally had the opposite reaction. Jubilant atmosphere was apparent in their gestures. They looked fired up, gleeful expressions drawn on most of their faces. They felt like they could not be happier after watching the revelation behind the fire walls.

They had chosen the right way! They were victorious! Victorious against the gang that had been troubling them for months! Was this a dream? They were finally free from their clutches?

Enjar truly was able to defeat the experts that the gang had just like what he had planned with them before. Now they only needed to group them together and deal with them according to Enjar's order. They had subconsciously saw Enjar as the leader, because listening to his guidance brought them a surprising feat.

Enjar walked to where Alvred was at. The grim expression on Alvred's face was clear, combined from the painful injuries while also from the situation that surrounded them. He saw Enjar strode to him with ease, because victory was already in front of him.

"So, what do you say… Bro? Heck, I don't even know what your name is. Tell me who you are." Enjar said while he looked down at Alvred. The way he looked was not full of malice, instead it was quite ridiculous to behold. Looking like he did not need to be so serious.

Listening to Enjar's voice, he could not help but curse inside of his heart. He did not even want to laugh at his lame talk. But he could only sigh out loud while answering Enjar's question like an obedient prisoner.

"My name is Alvred… Kuh… And I am the leader of this group of mine." Alvred said while gritting his teeth. He yipped in the middle of his talk because the pain just could not leave him alone.

"So you are the leader here, huh? I see. Is this the only place that you are occupying?" Enjar asked with an intrigued expression drawn on his face. He also put his hand on his chin, as if he was contemplating something inside of his mind.

"No… We have 5 similar villages that we had subdued too. This was just one of the villages that we occupied." Alvred said with a blank face on his face. It was hard to decide whether he was lying or not, because right now at this moment the situation was not in his favor and it would only make it worse for him if he lied to Enjar.

"I see… So there were 5 villages, huh. Is this all of the people that you brought here with you?" Enjar asked while he narrowed his eyes. He looked at Alvred acutely, as if trying to see what kind of information he would get from Alvred.

"No… I only brought with me some people that I had in the neighbouring village, the Willow Village." Alvred answered with a flat tone.

"Willow Village? So you are oppressing that village also, huh?" Enjar asked with an amusing smile drawn on his face. Alvred once again cursed inside of his heart when he heard Enjar's comment.

"We did not oppress anyone. We are just" "Yea yea, cut the crap will you." *Gaabb* Before Alvred was able to finish his statement, Enjar cut him off while kicking his waist hard.

"Argh…" What could Alvred do at this moment? He once again could only curse inside of his heart. He was just a prisoner that was being interrogated, a little mishap could bring some pain to him.

"How many people are you bringing right now from Willow Village? Is that all of them?" Enjar once again asked, while he seemed like he was prepared to give some beating if Alvred decided to say something out of necessity.

"Yes, I brought almost everyone from Willow Village." Alvred answered with a hint of apprehension inside of his voice. When he realized this fact, he was angry but he could do anything about it.

"Fair enough. What about the other villages though?" Enjar had a contemplating expression on his face.

"For the other villages, we did not bring anyone from there. We only bring the men from Willow Village." Alvred answered as he looked at Enjar with the same flat tone.

"Okay, what about those villages then? Do they have the same manpower as you guys have right now?" Enjar asked as he raised his eyebrows. He seemed like he was calculating some things inside of his mind

"... Yes, they more or less had the same power as us here." Alvred said with a sigh, as if his secret was found out. And it was like a drop of a bomb. Enjar seemed like he was in deep contemplation as he heard what Alvred had just said right now.

Not only that, but even the people around here too. Especially for the villagers that had grim expressions depicted on their heads. There were more people than this? Did not it mean that there would be retaliation from the other group of people then?

Then this was still not over yet for them then! They truly needed to prepare themselves because the retaliation might be worse than what they were facing right now.

And it was at this moment where suddenly, something dropped from the tree that had become the canopy of this place. More accurately, he canopy of the place where Enjar was standing together with the experts that were still laying low.

It was falling fast, and it seemed like now one noticed this at all. Only after that thing had neared Enjar in a very short distance, they saw what kind of thing it was.

It was actually a human that had black robe and clothes on his body, which made it hard for one to deduce what it was at first glance. And when it neared Enjar with great speed, it was so fast that it did not give a chance for the villagers to remind Enjar about it.

Enjar was still having his serious contemplating expression on his face when suddenly that human attacked him with a sharp weapon.
