"D-Drake?"
Bayek was horrified as he watched the vicious aura of death cover his once-loved disciple.
"Drake! Snap out of it!"
Tears filled Lily's eyes as she called out to the man she loved.
"Drake..."
Anne couldn't understand what was happening.
"Heh... You still don't get it, do you?"
Drake laughed like a madman before suddenly turning towards Anne.
"She... You love her, don't you, Bayek?"
A disgusting grin spread over Drake's mouth as he stared at the woman.
Then suddenly, he dashed towards her.
"Sto-"
Before Bayek could respond, Drake was right in front of Anne. Then with a bright smile, he pierced her chest with his hand.
Silence fell inside the room... And then...
"Cough-"
Anne coughed out some blood as Drake pulled out his arm from inside her chest.
"Anne!"
Bayek rushed to the woman and crouched in front of her.
Drake stepped back while grinning.
"Anne! Anne!"
Bayek screamed as he held the woman in his arm, tears flowing from his eyes.
But no matter how much he yelled, Anne wouldn't respond anymore.
"She's dead, Bayek! She's fucking dead! Hah! Serves you right!"
"Damn you!"
Lily was the one who responded. She aimed her bow at him and shot.
"So you have some guts after all!"
Drake chuckled as the arrow penetrated his shoulder armour.
It pierced through the light armour and stabbed into his skin. But he didn't show any feelings of pain.
"Snap out of it, Drake!"
Lily still wanted to have some hope, but Drake didn't care. He laughed and laughed then suddenly stopped.
"Hah... So you are going to fight me now?"
He muttered to himself with a frown. His eyes then turned towards Lily. The latter shook as the wicked eyes focused on her.
"Heh... Let me break that will of yours thoroughly."
Drake sprinted towards Lily with a murderous expression. The archer felt the threat and quickly shot a barrage of arrows while escaping.
"Futile! You'll die here, Lily!"
Drake's sword followed the girl closely. Lily twisted and turned her body to avoid the sword slashes, but she couldn't dodge them all. Within moments, her body became riddled with wounds.
"Kuh!"
Blood flowed down her lips as she staggered back. Her beautiful face was distorted with pain.
"Tsk, I was too careless."
Drake muttered as he stepped forward. His whole body was covered with arrows. None of them hit his vital spots, so he could move without an issue.
"H-how... Don't you feel any pain?!"
Lily screamed as she pointed at Drake. Her body was shaking from fear and grief.
"Pain... Eh? No, I feel nothing. Besides, no amount of pain will be the same as what I had felt before death."
"B-before death... ?"
Bayek whispered as he finally looked up at his former disciple.
"You seem to finally get it, you old bastard!"
Drake didn't look at Bayek as he laughed. Then without hesitation, he plunged his sword into the chest of the girl before him.
"No!"
Bayek screamed, but he couldn't do anything as Lily crumpled to the ground.
"HAHAHAHAHA! How does it feel to lose everything, Bayek?! How does it feel to be the powerless one?! Can you taste the despair I had felt for all those years?!"
Drake turned around and screamed. Two glittering teardrops fell from his eyes and rolled down his cheeks. Then with a smile, he threw the sword at the Hunter. The weapon fell right in fron of him.
"Bayek! Pick up the sword and fight me! If you can kill me, you can escape from here!"
Bayek stared at the sword for a few moments and gritted his teeth. With a deep breath, he picked the sword up and aimed the tip at Drake.
"I don't regret my past actions... Drake, no, Axel."
Bayek hissed as anger glinted in his eyes.
Drake smirked at the response.
"I don't remember why you hated me so much."
"You forgot... Huh. It was your fault... Your fault that the town was overrun by monsters! Everyone suffered that night, you bastard!"
Bayek yelled as he rushed towards his enemy. Drake dodge all the strikes with minimal movements before suddenly punching Bayek in the face.
The Hunter's body flew back and crashed with the wall. A pained cough escaped his lips.
"You mean the night when I first came to the town?"
Drake asked as he watched Bayek stand up.
"When else?! You brought hell upon us, you piece of shit!"
"Huh? Weren't you guys the ones who wanted to... Ah yes, test me by pushing me to a monster den alone?"
A malicious light shined in Drake's eyes as he stepped forward.
"T-that-"
"You probably forgot that part, didn't you? Of course you did. You guys wanted to blame me for your misfortune every single time. You needed a scapegoat. You needed someone to be the sacrifice. And I, a lowly E-ranker, was the best candidate, right? RIGHT?!"
Drake... No, Axel... No, Yurei howled and punched Bayek in the guts. The latter barely defended himself by using the sword to block it.
"Gah!"
Even so, his body crashed into the wall again.
"Come on! Say something!"
Yurei growled and grabbed Bayek by his neck. He pushed the man up in the air single-handedly.
"I..."
"Huh? Go on, say it. Say that you were in the right. Say that I deserved those shits. Go on!"
Yurei gritted his teeth and grabbed Bayek's neck tightly.
"I..."
"..."
"I... Am... Sorry."
With a sad smile, Bayek replied. No, Yurei could see the mockery behind that smile.
"You. Fucking. Son. Of. A. Bitch!"
The next second, Bayek's head exploded.
Blood and brain matter covered Drake's entire body.
"Damn it."
Drake's body trembled as he let go of the mana in his hand. Taking deep breaths, he sat down beside the skeleton in the middle of the room.
He didn't feel good... Even after achieving his revenge, he felt empty.
"Damn... It."
He wanted to see Bayek's face twist in despair but the ending was really anticlimactic. He didn't like this at all.
Then...
"Damn you, bastard. Your consciousness is still there?"
He muttered to himself as tears kept rolling down his eyes.
"Tsk... This Drake guy is tenacious... Hm..."
He soon calmed down and pondered for a bit.
"I don't need to kill you, do I? Chances of you becoming an obstacle is high... But I don't think you have what it takes to fight me. I will let you go, yeah."
With his revenge done, the anger controlling him also disappeared. Yurei's calm and gentle demeanour from his previous life returned as he sighed.
Then he stood up and approached the boss room.
"Well, I'll do you on favour and return you to the first floor."
--------------------------------
"Gah..."
The death knight collapsed with a regretful scream. Its body turned into ashes and disappeared.
Yurei then casually approached the teleportation stone and thought of the first floor.
Instantly, he was transferred to the entrance area of the dungeon.
"Should I try walking out?"
He murmured as he watched the bright outside. A part of him wanted to step out and enjoy the world but... Deep down he knew that he wouldn't be able to do that.
"Time is running out... Not to mention the dungeon changed itself for my revenge. It will probably return to normal soon and I don't think it'll let me go... Still, doesn't hurt to try."
Thinking that, he tried to take a step outside the dungeon.
Immediately, an invisible force pushed him back inside.
"Hah... Well, whatever. I need to figure out what I am and what this body is first... Well, Drake, hope we never meet again. I know you'll try to kill me later... But know that I did what I had to do."
Yurei smiled with Drake's mouth before slowly pushing his spiritual body outwards.
Soon, he was floating above Drake's head, looking at the boy below.
As soon as he left the body, Drake collapsed like a puppet whose strings had been cut.
With a sigh, Yurei went back to the teleportation stone and returned to the third floor.

Numerous messages bombarded Yurei altogether, causing him to flinch.
