The truth is, she woke up early to read the contents of the said journal. There is no name written for who was the owner of that book, but after reading a couple of entries it was clear that it was her in the past that wrote it. At least that's what she concluded after reading some of the first few pages.
Theo Clifford. According to the journal, Andrea and Theo are classmates in their middle school years. Due to a particular misunderstanding, they have been friends with a close bond. Until then Theo has been the only person Andrea can lean on.
'All good things are written about this person, then maybe I can truly trust that person,'
Andrea said to herself as she flipped to another page of the journal. As she reached the sixth page, it was already the end of the entries. For a moment, Andrea found it odd. This brown journal looks pretty old and used. How come there are only 5 pages that were used?
After the brief flashback, Andrea was now in the situation where he has to blatantly lie in front of a supposed to be an old friend. Still keeping up with a calm demeanor, Andrea immediately but naturally scanned her eyes around.
'Think Andrea! Quickly!'
Looking back at the puzzled expression of the person before her, Andrea's line of sight straight away landed on the dark blue sling on his torso.
"It just says there on your company ID,"
Andrea straight away pointed out the rectangular company ID that Theo has been wearing.
With that being said, Theo looked down and stared at his ID with his name face and boldly stated on it, "Oh, that makes sense…" He commented as he slowly lifted his head with a convinced look on his face.
It's not a bad idea to tell this particular person that Andrea knew about him due to the journal that she had. But being clueless will give her more information than what she already read in the book. And another thing, Andrea has to personally see for herself if this person can truly be trusted or not.
Seeing that Andrea was deeply lost in her thoughts, Theo instantly recognized that it must be because of the overwhelmed feelings due to the accident. Theo can't imagine what kind of trauma she must have to be in this state where she is in a sudden daze. Theo then had the idea to change the awkward mood.
"How have you been? I'm sorry I was not here the moment you woke up... That damn manager of mine has been a pain in my ass ever since I joined that company! Could you believe that yesterday as I was about to clock out, he gave his work to me just because he has an important date!? Hah, the audacity of that bastard!"
Upon hearing Theo starting to grumble by himself, obviously getting exasperated upon remembering his superior, Andrea looked at him with a mystified expression on her face. She doesn't know whether to laugh or feel pity with him. On the other hand, Theo stopped ranting as soon as she saw Andrea looking at him with curiosity plastered on her face.
With that, Theo calmed himself down as he scratched the back of his copper colored hair, "Ah right, I forgot again. You must see me as a stranger right now…"
He conceded as he sat down by her side, but also gave her an appropriate space for a stranger like him. But seeing his dismayed expression, Andre decided to sound him out first. Andrea let out a soft smile as she asked with a gentle tone of voice.
"We must have been quite close," Andrea questioned, trying to act clueless as possible.
Upon hearing Andrea's question, Theo's face lit up again as she responded back with a proud face, "Quite close is an understatement. We're twins from separate mothers!" He answered happily with a silly smile on his face as he bumped his left fist on his chest.
With that dramatic answer, Andrea could only give out a heartily chuckle which showed her dimples. "I see. Then you must have known what my situation was before I lost my memories?"
Andrea asked once again while maintaining her soft expression and tone of voice.
"Of course. No one else would know better than me," He straight away answered back, still having a proud look on his face.
WIth this, Andrea knew that he already got him. Andrea who was still sitting on the bed, slowly inched herself a bit closer to Theo.
"Then…please tell me all I need to know." She asked once again in almost a whispering voice as she looked at him expectantly.
Upon hearing this particular question, Theo's face became serious as he gazed at Andrea. He took a few seconds as if contemplating whether to tell her this early or not. But since he can' resist the expectant look on her eyes, Theo couldn't help but to spill everything. He heaved a deep sight as he stared right into Andrea's eyes.
"It all started when you married that guy…"
