"Kokoro no kate," Yvette muttered to herself, reading out the large name board in front of the small hut-like establishment in front of them.
"Oh? You can read it?" Surprised, Josh looked at her with big eyes.
"Yeah. I learned it out of curiosity. There used to be a school teacher who was Japanese back in my homeland." Yvette had a fond look on her while talking about it. "She used to be really sweet and kind to us, and while she talked to her family by phone once every week, she had this longing and love in her eyes, as if she felt connected and rescued talking to her people in a way she is accustomed to. Listening to Japanese from her was like a sweet song to me. That's why I had her teach me to read it."
"That's impressive from you, I must say," Irvyn spoke up all of a sudden, looming from behind them. "But if we are done analyzing the storefront, can we please go in?"
