"Mr. Collins? May I come in?" Yvette stood right before the door of the hospital room. Thinking back about the first day when she arrived at his house, he had made it clear how much he treasures his privacy, to the point he clearly instructed her not to come into his room without any necessity or his permission. These past few days, Yvette had to stay in his hospital room, constantly looking over him, all because he was unconscious. And someday, when he regains consciousness, she would be the first one to know. Now that he is awake and recovering, she shouldn't forget the tiniest details about him.
But to her surprise, there wasn't any response from inside. She gently knocked on the door one more time, raising her voice slightly louder than before. "Mr. Collins? I got your food, shall I come in?"
No response this time as well.
