"Teacher, you know? I'd like… t-to be able t-to talk p-properly, without s-stuttering at all, someday." Rick's hopeful words from that evening of the birthday party kept ringing in Yvette's ears.
"Because you don't want people to judge you anymore?" Yvette had asked back then. In response, she got something totally different and an unexpected reply from him.
"Nope. So that I d-don't feel burdened t-to talk, and happily c-chat without any worries."
It was the first time Rick looked happy while talking, even though he was stuttering so much more than usual because of being all emotional. That smile was enough to tell how much he loved to talk to people, to be able to express himself like an average teenager, and how much he would love to be free from the shackles he has had since his childhood.
