"Teacher! Any plans this weekend?"
Picking up the phone call, this was the first thing she heard from Rick. He sounded as enthusiastic as ever, speaking up loud and fast like he usually does over call. Strangely, Rick doesn't sound nervous at all over call, but the way he acts in front of her while talking. Yvette still couldn't get what was so nerve-wrecking about talking to her after so many months have passed. She had been enough known about him to be passed that nervous phase, right? But still, she didn't complain about it. It was a lot of improvement from his side, willing to talk and initiate conversations with her and others, unlike the first time they met. She was glad that she could have a person to talk to about things regarding the kids, so asking more than that would be unfair right now.
"Plans? No, why ask?" Yvette flipped through her pocket diary, to make sure she doesn't actually have anything scheduled.
