His trance broke when the girl hurriedly got down from the stairs, looking at her wristwatch with a slightly panicked look on her face. She bowed down at those people, and walked off ahead. Having her hasting about something reminded him about his appointment as well, and he was getting late. "I won't hear the end of it if I make any later than this." Irvyn shook his head in a hopeless manner, and walked off toward his destination.
"Big brother! Here!" Irvyn heard the familiar annoying tone calling out to her as soon as he walked inside the café. He didn't expect this place to be so much extravagant when he heard this was a café. And here, he thought Emily probably stopped fawning over money and showing it off.
"Why did you come to such an expensive place, for just a meetup?" Irvyn spoke up in a cold, steady voice, which wiped off the smile Emily had on her face while greeting him.
