"What are you doing?" Yvette yanked her hands off from his grip.
"Didn't you say, I'm free to do it myself? I was just abiding by your words." Irvyn looked like he was nonchalant to the rage Yvette was showing to him.
"Yeah right. So responsible and attentive you are, aren't you?" Yvette mocked him. "I told you I don't care and have any other troubles like you to handle. I don't have people flocking around me that I'd need a contract marriage to get by."
"And didn't I tell you as well, that I am seriously considering it?" Irvyn dropped his words like a bombshell, and even though Yvette indeed heard him saying it a few minutes back, she still fell tongue-tied by it. "Sure, it will save me the trouble I get, but that's optional. That wasn't why I married you, and that isn't why I want to announce this in public."
"That's not?" Yvette raised her eyebrows, giving him a skeptical look.
