"I want to go for a walk," Ye Ningjie said after everyone left. Cai Ying was the only person with her in Cheng Yue Palace.
"Miss, you are prohibited from leaving this palace." Cai Ying answered while looking down. Some maids and soldiers had said Ye Ningjie was a criminal in captivity, so she had been extremely careful not to offend her.
"Forbidden to go out." Ye Ningjie muttered as she stared at the walls surrounding Cheng Yue Palace. She sighed.
"All right." Since she was forbidden from going out, she could only do it her own way.
At night, Ye Ningjie closed her eyes quietly. Cai Ying extinguished the candles in her room and then quickly came out. After confirming that there was no movement from Ye Ningjie's room, she went to her own room.
Unbeknownst to the maid, Ye Ningjie opened her eyes again. She wakes up without lighting a candle. She secretly peeked out the bedroom window. Several soldiers stood guard outside her room.
