Draven flew back into his cave carrying Sarah and the heavy crate. She carried the sack filled with etherials. The cave looked as gloomy as they left. Draven placed the heavy crate with a loud thud. When he was entering the cave through the waterfall, it washed away most of the blood on him. Yet, it wasn't enough for him to completely get rid of the smell of blood.
"Let's open this baby. I wanna see what's inside" Margoth materialized over Draven's shoulder. His eyes were so wide that it seemed like they would pop out of the sockets at any time.
After seeing how Draven massacred the brutes and Scarface, Sarah was freaked out. She couldn't even imagine what he might do if he knew the truth.
The wooden crate was almost six feet tall and if it wasn't for the chant attached to the top, he would have had a hard time flying with it. Since he wasn't sure that no one saw him flying with the crate, he knew he had to open the crate, take whatever was inside, and escape the cave before Black Knight came knocking.
Thanks to the Clown who opened the crate using a crowbar, Draven was able to quickly open the crate. As the wooden cover fell down, he was welcomed by a majestic black armor. The armor contained a steel helmet with two eagle wings sticking out from either side, a long cape, gauntlets as well as body armor. The dark body armor was woven with some kind of flexible yet strong thickened material to absorb and deflect blows while allowing maximum flexibility.
The armor had been painted dark gray, intended to blend into the shadows even better than a sharp black might. Gauntlets and boots were similar in material to the suit.
On the chest was the suit's foremost feature, the striking symbol of a lion, engraved into the suit using silver lining.
The cape was a lighter-weight material. According to Draven's research on Black Knight, the cape's primary purpose was to provide a distraction, entrap fists, knives, projectiles, and create more air resistance, drifting to the ground more slowly and safely when falling from a height.
There was also a utility belt made of refined metal that had multiple compartments and hooks for pieces of equipment. Currently, there was nothing inside these compartments
"I got to say Draven, whoever this Black Knight person is, he sure has a great taste in armor" Even Margoth couldn't help praising the Black Knight looking at the armor.
And just as Draven was about to touch the armor, he felt an excruciating pain in his mind.
"Argh!" he growled as he collapsed to the ground on his knees.

Everything around him stopped at its pace as though time had stopped. The information about him appeared before his eyes in golden holographic letters. He raised his hand and touched the letters which created a rippling effect. He noticed three new rows of information; Legendary Points, Legend Status, and Bases of Operation. Next to the information, he noticed a golden orb of light pulsating light. As soon as he touched the orb, he heard a clicking sound followed by a robotic voice,
[System Store is unlocked…]
Several cards materialized in front of them which read, 'Weapons', 'Powers', 'Armors', 'Miscellaneous'.
There was an icon of a lock above everything except weapons. As expected, when he touched the cards with the lock icon on them, nothing happened. He then moved his finger to the Weapons card.
Instantly his vision was filled with two blades and two shields. The first blade was a small, thick, curved blade made of silver held by a grip wrapped in extravagant, jade green cow leather. He touched the blade as the following words appeared before him,
[300 Legendary Points required]
In the corner of his vision, he noticed the 'Available Legendary points' which was indicating the legendary points he currently has; 100.
"What are you?" Draven asked. He had no idea what this entity is or how he ended up with it. All he knew was when he woke up in the void, he saw Margoth and then, he heard a mechanical otherworldly voice saying that he had been chosen as the host for 'the system'.
He tried to talk to this entity but to no avail. Hence, he asked Margoth. Even an ancient god-like Margoth knew nothing about this entity except it was an unknown and powerful existence the gods have been searching for, for many Millenials.
[Legendary System]
Surprisingly, the system responded to his question.
[The system recommends the host to spread your legend and earn legendary points]
[Legendary points can be used to purchase items from the system store]
[Legendary points can also be used to upgrade the system which will unlock more features of the system to assist the host on your journey]
Draven creased his brows. He got the gist of what the system just said. However, he still had no clear understanding of what the heck is this entity and why it chose him. So he simply asked the system,
"Are you a god? Why did you choose me?"
[The system level is too low to answer the host]
[2000 Legendary points required to upgrade the system]
"What's the catch?" asked Draven. It was too good to be true. He was sure that this entity wanted something in return from him.
[The system level is too low to answer the host]
Yet again, the system responded with the same generic response it gave him to his previous question. However, unlike before, he received another response,
[Anything is possible with the legendary system if the host should survive and upgrade the system]
As soon as Draven heard these words, his heart skipped a beat. His mouth started to dry as he shivered,
"Any…anything?" he stuttered,
"My family…can-can I…revive them?"
For a few moments, the system went silent. Draven sighed, realizing how stupid of him to ask such a question.
[Anything is possible]
He felt a chill. Like the system before, now he went silent. He couldn't think of anything. His mind was in a boggle as it was telling him not to have any hopes and that it would be stupid to expect to revive his family. However, his heart was desperately looking for a light of hope.
The images of his childhood and the happy memories of his family flashed across his mind. The flashes were so vivid. He had been reliving their brutal deaths for decades without any hope. For the first time in a long time, Draven was given hope.
After asking several more questions and getting the same 'The system level is too low to answer the host' over and over again, he willed to exit the system. As soon as he exited the system, the hazy blue smoke surrounding him disappeared and everything began to move as though the play button was clicked.
Sarah was standing beside carrying the sack as before. Margoth however stared at him with a weird look on his face. Draven existed long enough with Margoth to see the changes in his snake-like face.
Since Sarah was with them, Draven ignored Margoth and touched the armor before him.
"Dra-Draven" Sarah called him,
Both Draven and Margoth turned their gazes towards Sarah,
"The armor, it might have a tracker in it"
Draven expected that way before Sarah told them. Thus, he wasn't surprised,
"I know. When we buy the equipment you need, I assume you can disable the tracker?"
Sarah nodded as Draven removed the black shirt and jacket he was wearing. Seeing his bare body, Sarah was startled. He was riddled with scars and burn wounds. She couldn't imagine what he might have gone through to get all those scars.
"If you put on this now, you won't be able to fly Draven. I don't think your wings can cut through the armor" Margoth reminded Draven,
"Leaving this armor here is not an option. I know someone who can help modify this armor to fit me"
Draven put on the armor. It was a little bigger. He knew this armor definitely needs adjusting before wearing it to a battle.
Sarah picked up the shirt and jacket and handed them over to Draven.
He then wore every piece of the armor except the helmet, cape, and gloves.
"Put these into the sack" Draven gave the rest of the armor to Sarah.
"Where are we going?" Seeing Draven walking towards the cave mouth, Margoth asked,
"To Veland"
His answer was a shock to them. They didn't expect him to return to Veland after killing Scarface and stealing the armor of the Black Knight. If one asked them, Veland would be the last place they should be.
"Whoa, I don't think it's the right move to go to Veland" Margoth tried to stop Draven,
Draven didn't answer Margoth as he kept walking until he reached the cave's edge. The mighty waterfall stood between them and the forest.
Sarah wondered how he planned to leave the cave now since he wouldn't be able to fly.
"Keep your legs together"
"Huh?" Sarah had no idea what he was talking about. But soon she got her answers as he threw her outside.
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
Sarah's scream echoed through the forest as in the distance, the sleeping birds took off into the sky startled by her scream.
