Chereads / Anti Hero with a Symbiote System / Chapter 36 - Trap for Draven

Chapter 36 - Trap for Draven

The news reporters were startled by the turn of events. Although Barnabas was trained to protect himself, he couldn't do anything with Draven's sword against his throat.

"Take off or I will take off your head," Draven coldly said as the reporters stepped away from Draven.

"Who…who are you?" Barnabas asked,

"The one who killed Scarface and wiped out the thieves guild,"

As soon as they heard Draven, they felt a chill running through their spines. They all lost the color on their face. The girls shivered while the men started to swallow in fear.

"Now fly," Draven drew a thin cut around Barnabas's neck to show he was not kidding around.

"And for you, ill give you twenty seconds to get the hell out of here," Draven looked at the news reporters. After herding Draven, they did not dare to linger anymore as they rushed towards the door.

Barnabas had to release the girl beside him and disengage the lockdown by tapping the cube in his hand.

After the reporters scattered outside, Barnabas growled.

"You have no idea who you messing with. You won't get away with this,"

"Do you think it's a good idea to threaten the man who has a blade against your throat?"

Draven wiped the blood on Barnabas's robes and waited for him to take off.

"I don't have all day. So chop chop," Draven rushed Barnabas.

"You will be hunted down for this," Barnabas growled again, pushing a few buttons on the dashboard in front of him.

"Good thing I have the ship to run,"

Regardless of the soldiers surrounding the ship outside, Draven remained calm. Barnabas wasn't a fool to try anything foolish when he has a sword against his throat.

If Draven was right, Barnabas would do everything as he was told and focus on getting out of the ship alive.

"Go to the abandoned steel factory in the slums," Draven ordered Barnabas, taking the cube from his hand.

The cube was heavier than it looked.

"System, can I bound myself to the ship?" looking at the cube, Draven asked the system in his mind.

[The ship can be bound to the host with 2000 Legendary Points]

[The host can take a loan of 2000 Legendary Points]

"Do it,"

Draven ordered the system. Day by day, Draven was familiarizing himself with the system and learning to use the system to its fullest potential. He prioritized getting more legendary points. That was the reason Draven risked getting caught in the castle and let the news reporters see him with the Black Knight,

If his guess was correct, he would get hundreds of eve thousands of Legendary points once the news pacers get out.

"Let's see what this system could do," Margoth stared at the dark cube in Draven's hand. For a few moments, nothing happened except the ship slowly ascended into the air. Draven had to walk to the windows and actually see the soldiers growing smaller in size to confirm that the ship was ascending.

There was absolutely no jerk or any kind of tremble when the ship took off from the ground. Draven didn't even hear any sounds except for a few shouts from the soldiers and guards outside.

As the sword was flying higher and higher, the dark cube in Draven's hand radiated a bright golden light. Soon, the light enveloped Draven for a moment, and then, the light faded away.

[The ship has been bounded to the host,]

The system's voice sounded in Draven's mind. However, he didn't feel any difference. Thus, Draven decided to walk toward Barnabas and sat on the chair beside him.

"You said the cannons can be fired right?" asked Draven.

"Yeah by my guest and try to fire them," Barnabas desperately wanted Draven to fire the cannons. The aiming sticks were engraved with runes and arrays. Therefore, Barnabas wanted Draven to touch the stick. Since Draven wasn't bounded to the ship, Barnabas expected Draven to be immobilized by the magical arrays.

Of course, Draven knew what was going on in Barnbas's mind.

"What?!"

Barnabas's eyes went wide as he did not even touch the stick but moved it around. The sword should have identified Draven as an intruder and activated the lockdown procedure yet nothing Barnabas anticipated happened.

"What? Shit"

Barnabas looked shocked more than he looked terrified.

[Does the host wish to remove Barnabas's bound from the ship?]

Margoth and Draven were pleasantly surprised but they did not want to take away the control from Barnabas just yet.

"How did you bound yourself to the ship?" Barnabas asked Draven,

"You don't have to worry about that Barnabas. Just focus on getting me the steel factory,"

Draven said to Barnabas while moving around the crosshair.

"Let's fire at something," Margoth grinned.

However, Draven had no target in mind. Hence, he decided to fire the cannons into the sky.

"What are you doing?" Barnabas shivered looking at Draven aiming at the sky,

Boom!

Boom!

Boom!

As soon as Draven pressed the red button on the stick, the ship jerked, firing several powerful cannon balls from the cannons. It sounded like thunderclaps to Draven.

"Stop. You cant do this. The ship is not in its complete form,"

"Speaking of. Where do you keep the plans for building more ships like this?" Draven turned his gaze towards Barnabas.

"What? no no no no," Barnabas frantically shook his head,

Pulch!

But suddenly, Draven plunged his sword right through Barnabas's shoulder. The ship trembled as Barnabas swatted away the flying stick in pain.

"Now I am going to ask you again. If you don't answer me this time, I will simply cut off your arm. Where do you keep the plans for building more ships like this?"

Barnabas's face went pale, drenching in sweat.

"In Grayfort…Grayfort Layne warehouse," Barnabas finally blurted out instead of holding back which might get him killed.

"Good for you," Draven patted Barnabas on the shoulder with a smile.

"I need to go to the healers," Barnabas said, gritting his teeth.

"You can. After you get me to the steel factory,"

Draven did not care about Barnabas's pain because he stabbed him in the shoulder. It was nothing serious. Seeing the cold look on Draven's face, Barnabas couldn't help gritting his teeth For now, he had no choice but to get him to the destination.

While Barnabas was bleeding and flying the ship, Draven looked around the war room. He went straight to the table and stared at the map of Etheria on it.

"Now we have a ship, new power, and UFH information. What's our next move?" asked Margoth.

"Cleaning Veland. We have to put the fear of god in every single criminal's heart. To do that, we need to go for the source, the clown,"

"I like this plan," Margoth devilishly laughed, thinking of all the evil souls he could get.

"Sarah," Draven contacted Sarah through the Khal,

"Draven, where are you? The entire kingdom is hunting for you," Sarah exclaimed,

"Good. Now pack everything and get ready to move out,"

"You stole the warship?"

"Yes and I am on my way to you,"

"But wait, how are you flying the ship? Just don't hurt the crew," Sarah had no idea the sword could be flown by one single person. Instead, she thought it would take a large crew to man a ship as big as a frigate.

"No one is hurt, atleast not much,"

"What-"

Draven cut the connection and walked towards Barnabas.

"We are getting close,"

Meanwhile somewhere else, the Clown danced around a spacious hall, avoiding stepping on the bodies lying on the floor. The brutes dressed to resemble the Clown were too busy looting the corpses. In addition to the Clown and the brutes, there was a lady covered in emerald stones from top to bottom. Except for her head, every inch of her body was covered in jade armor.

"Hello Clown," the lady moved her lips painted with thick red lipstick or perhaps blood.

"Hello, darling. How's my poisonous Scorpion nowadays?"

When she stepped toward the Clown, a green mist appeared under her feet as she stepped on the mist to avoid stepping on the dead bodies.

"Why did you ask me here Clown?" Scorpion coldly asked The Clown.

"Heheheehe, look around," the Clown didn't mind the cold attitude of Scorpion and laughed, looking around the hall that was filled with countless dead bodies.

"You killed the militia,"

"Not dead. Atleast not yet,"

"Boss, they not dead yet?" one of the brutes shouted from the other side.

"Are they bleeding you bumble headed buffoon?" the CLown shouted at the brute,

"No I thought you poisoned them," another brute yelled back,

"Poisoning is our darling Scorpion's work. What say you Scorpion? How would you like to get the Black Knight and the crazy fool killing our colleagues at the same time?"

The Clown licked his lips,

"I am listening"
