Chapter 2 - II

As Rualtik looks up through the leaves of the covered path into the sky he closes his eyes thinking about his family and the fun times they used to have. "I hope ya'll are resting easy up there." Rualtik then pokes his side slightly wincing at the small pain. "I need to clean the wound before it gets to bad." Shadow then begins to whine and Rualtik grabs him out of the bag and places him down. "There you go little buddy." Shadow then begins to run around while keeping up with Rualtik making sure not to get to far from him. "Well at least one of us is having fun." Rualtik then smiles and looks ahead up the road noticing something hanging in the tree up ahead. Shadow then runs up to Rualtik and he picks him up holding him while walking up to a person hanging in a tree. "Sorry kid, I should of came with you, you shouldn't have had to deal with this." Rualtik then looks at the soldiers chest a little closer and sees crisscrossed knives with a snake skull behind it. "The Thieves of Rolventorkin, I didn't know they leave their kingdom, unless they got a contract out here." Rualtik then looks up the road and sees a small village. "Maybe we'll get to meet them." Rualtik then puts Shadow back in the bag patting his head. "I just hope they aren't looking for me." Rualtik then starts walking towards the village noticing another dead body hanging from the sign of the tavern. "Well at least it's not me." Rualtik then walks into the village noticing some people scolding him, while other either look pleased or happy. "Sir can you help us?" Rualtik then looks to his left seeing a little girl wearing tattered clothes and grime all over her, Rualtik then gets down on one knee to get to the level of the little girl. "What do need help with little one?" The little girl then looks at her father and waves him to her. "My daddy will tell you." As the little girl runs to her mother the father walks up to Rualtik and gives him a look of approval. "Sorry about that she thinks your the knight from a couple of days ago, they passed through here heading to the kingdom down the road." Rualtik then takes his helm off and smiles. "We'll I'm glad someone notices the armor rather than the face." Rualtik then shakes the man's hand. "What happened here?"

"Thieves from Rolventorkin, they came here looking for there bounty, however some of the soldiers from Ashenvyre started to talk badly about them and a fight broke out, the thieves killed all the soldiers and some of the town folk, they won't leave saying something about a wolf." Rualtik then looks at the bar across the street. "I can help, but I need you to get inside and stay there." As Rualtik finishes his sentence the man runs to his family and ushers them inside, as Rualtik puts his helm on he walks up to the door of the bar. Rualtik then takes a deep breath and walks through the door having one hand on the hilt of his sword. "I need to speak with the thieves that are tearing this town apart." Rualtik then begins to walk forward into the bar taking check of everyone and everything. "And who might you be?" Rualtik then looks above him at a thief sitting on a railing. "A knight from Ashenvyre, I need you and your little group to leave." The thief then drops down in front of Rualtik getting in his face. "I don't think you realize who your talking to, we are the personal squad trained by the queen of thieves herself we don't go anywhere without her and she goes nowhere without us." Rualtik then smiles through his helm clutching his sword tightly. "Then let me talk to her, I don't need to talk to a lower soldier." The thief then throws a punch at Rualtik, but he blocks it and pushes him back. "Enough! Torens get back to watch." Rualtik then looks at the stairs behind the thief seeing a woman with two other thieves standing beside her. "But he started it, he deserves what's coming to him." The thief then attempts to throw a punch at Rualtik but he catches the punch and throws him to the side. "What do you want... Lone Wolf." Rualtik then tightens his grip on his sword. "I haven't been called that in years, and I would greatly appreciate it if you didn't call me that, Ishoa." Ishoa then walks towards Rualtik stopping right in front of him. "I should kill you for everything you've done, but I'm gonna let my men do it, they deserve it a lot more then me." Ishoa then begins to walk away but Rualtik grabs her arm stopping her. "I came here to have a wager." Ishoa looks Rualtik up and down noticing his wound. "What kind of wager." Rualtik then lets go of Ishoa and takes his sword out of his holster and puts it on the table next to them. "A fight, you and me, If I win you leave these people alone, if you win I'll help you with what ever you need." Ishoa looks at her guards and nods to them. "Deal, with one condition, if I win you help me and you become part of our ranks." Rualtik then takes the bag around his shoulder and puts it under the table. "Deal." Rualtik takes his helmet off showing his old weathered face. "You know for someone as well known as you I was expecting someone a lot more youthful and virile." Rualtik then chuckles readying himself. "I haven't been young for a long time, I just learned to deal with any pain that comes with the age." Ishoa then stances herself looking up at her archers noticing something wrong out the Window behind Rualtik. "I hope you don't always zone out in the middle of a fight." Rualtik the punches Ishoa in the stomach, expelling all the air out of her lungs. "How... very rude... that was." Ishoa then pushes Rualtik back and grabs his hand and kicks his shoulder dislocating his arm. "Ow..." Rualtik then grabs the back of Ishoa's head and headbutts her, making her stumble back grasping her forehead as it begins to bleed. "What kind of shit is that?!" Rualtik then chuckles grabbing his side. "What do you mean, we never gave any rules, I was using my head." Lightning then strikes outside making Rualtik turn around and look outside. "Don't tell me that the legendary Knight of Ashenvyre is afraid of thunder?" Rualtik then looks at Ishoa. "I'm not scared of the thunder, I'm scared of the one who makes it." Ishoa then takes a knife out of her belt and throws it at Rualtik as it chunks into his shoulder. "Ow... That's not very fair." Rualtik then takes the knife out of his shoulder, and cleans it off with the cloth on his armor. "You said no rules, right?" Says Ishoa jumping over the table kicking Rualtik out the window and into the street. Rualtik then quickly looks at the sky noticing it getting darker than usual. "Huh" Rualtik then quickly blocks a kick from Ishoa, grabbing her ankle and pulls her towards him grabbing the strap on her armor lifting her off the ground and slamming her back down knocking the breath out of her. "Hard to breath?" Rualtik then throws her into the wall of the bar and tackles her through it, quickly getting up and grabbing his sword off the table two of Ishoa's guards kick Rualtik out into the street again. "Oh come on." Lightening then strikes behind Rualtik making a dragon appear. "What in the f-" The dragon then smacks Rualtik with its tail flinging him into the church of the town. "Ow…" Rualtik then push's a part of the wall off of him and stands up cracking his neck. "Who, the fuck are you?" Asks Rualtik stepping into the street as it begins to rain. "My name is finagir, and I am the god of the dragons and sky's, and I'm here to kill you." Rualtik then smiles and looks around noticing an axe next to him, picking it up. "Well I accept the challenge, but fair warning I've killed plenty of dragons." Finagir then jumps off the dragon and takes the battle axe off the side of the dragon and waves his hand at Rualtik making the dragon shoot a lightning bolt at him. Rualtik then puts his hand up as shadows form in his hand and his sword appears blocking the lightning bolt. "Come on then, bastard."
