"I can't believe this… you are sick, Amber," said Elanor.
"Sick? You are saying I'm sick?" Amber laughed maniacally. "Aren't you the cause of all this too, El-a-nor?" scoffed Amber. "If only you stay as my only friend and pay attention to me," she added.
"I know. It's all my fault," Elanor admitted. She looked at Amber with a complicated look.
Would things not have turned out like this if she didn't befriend Amber?
They were roommates. That's unavoidable.
But, was it really Elanor's fault?
Elanor stared at Amber's face to get her answer.
No. She did her best as Amber's friend. Amber was a medical student, while she and Cecilia took the same course. Of course, she would mostly be with Cecilia. Did they ever purposely leave Amber out? No.
