At that crucial moment, Nathan had never expected that he would feel some kind of worry toward Phantomflake when he witnessed how she fell off the cliff together with the wild boar. Though he was still shocked by the turn of events, he managed to stand up and dashed toward the edge of the cliff.
He needed to find out what happened to Jane. She couldn't die like this! Never again!
With large strides, Nathan reached the edge of the cliff with a pounding heart. How could he explain this to Abigail if something bad happened to her sister? Furthermore, he couldn't let her die just yet.
Nathan looked down, feeling so nervous. He didn't know why his heart was thumping so hard against his chest. Then his eyes widened in both shock and relief when he saw Jane clinging to the branch of the tree.
