Number Five indicated he wanted to mediate, which was something Otto had wanted to do but had failed to accomplish.
But now that they were aboard Number Five's ship, he really had the qualification to mediate. However, Number Five's mediation was solely out of fellowship and bore no compulsory element, essentially meaning it was up to them whether to comply or not, he just had to say his piece.

Number One spoke first, shaking his head with a smile, "No need, thank you."

Number Five spread his hands, "Well, since you both refuse, there's no need for mediation then. I'll say one last thing, the dispute between the two of you is your affair, please don't involve me. Number Four and I share the same stance on this. Now, we can leave, please from..."
