Despite the fact that it was Rezen who planned the ambush of the Senior Rank beast, it does not mean that he wouldn't face any danger. In fact, it was the opposite. He along with the other people in the camp will face danger once that magic beast attacks.
While taking Treen with him to retreat, Rezen retrieved a magic scroll from his storage. Fire immediately burned from his hand and the scroll turned into dust.
The number of magic beasts at the Senior Rank is greater than mages at the same rank. As such, it was impossible for the Academy to station a Senior Rank Mage in this resource point when there was only one magic beast at the same rank.
The plan was instead for Rezen to give a signal using the magic scroll and soon, a Senior Mage would come. What he and Treen had to do now was to survive.
