Keeping her welcoming smile, the woman asked, "What brings you to Parnap's today? Anything in particular?"
"I… I heard they were hiring a cafe clerk, so I hurried over here after moving in."
Abruptly, the woman's kind face stiffened, but only for a moment. "Oh. I see. Well, we are technically hiring, but I don't recommend–"
"What's this I hear about a new clerk?"
The woman chuckled and bit her lip, "Master Les, I didn't see you there."
Nelphy turned around to get a good look at the man. He didn't seem much older than Nelphy, slightly taller. The young man was easy on the eyes and clearly put a lot of effort into his appearance with his slicked-back brunette hair.
