Jash eagerly opened the envelope. He read the assignment while Eidar mentioned some extra details.
"Each year, Conqueror Day is one of the most active days for criminals. But you won't be handling petty thieves or pickpockets. You'll be on standby in either the Market or North Districts. You'll need a few of these…" Eidar retrieved a small pouch from his vector ring, handing it over.
Accepting the pouch, Jash checked the contents. He pulled out a small, green crystalline orb. "Are these green signal stones?"
"Yup. But they only signal other green stones. We use the red ones to alert the city guards. We use the green ones to alert fellow members of the Secret Reserve," explained Eidar. "Under normal circumstances, you aren't allowed to activate these, Jash. They're usually activated by a superior officer trying to attract attention to suspicious activity.
"Also, you're to remain entirely undetected while investigating a green signal. Is that understood?"
