"That depends…" Lazro sighed, walking up to the displays. "It depends on what your end goal is. If you have a clear idea of how you want to fight and train, then follow your gut. But it also wouldn't hurt to get a simple, basic foundation that's easy to master. For instance… this would make a great first foundation."
A scroll was placed in Jash's hands. He almost opened it out of reflex but managed to contain himself and only read the description.
"Gauging Flame: To manifest and regulate flames" Jash read aloud. "So, it only helps me create flames?"
"That's right. It's the most simple fire foundation there is. Almost half of all flame wielders utilize that foundation in some way," explained Lazro. "This wouldn't give your flames anything special, but it would help you learn to generally control fire in all aspects. That would also help you learn gambits quicker, as well, considering gambits and tactics are all about manipulating the flames in some way or form."
