Tossing and turning, Nelphy stretched her arms and arched her back. Her feet kicked off the blanket, sending a tingle across her body from the fresh morning air. Nelphy yawned and looked around. She found no one else in the storage room so she checked elsewhere.
With Nelphy's help, Jash ended up with a blanket but was still sprawled on the store's floor, sleeping heavier than a boulder.
Nelphy sniffed and was about to smell how badly Jash reeked of booze, then a familiar scent wafted in through the ajar back door. She let the smell whisk her away. Poking her head out the door, Nelphy asked, "Bil? Are you out here?"
"Over here." Bil was wide awake and making his classic breakfast fried rice. "Mind setting up some bowls and cups? I bought some juice to go with breakfast."
"Sure thing!" The smell alone was enough to wake up Nelphy. She speedily took out their dining sets, adeptly stepping around Jash as she did so. Once she was done, Nelphy rushed back outside. "How can I help?"
