In the time it took them to cross from Frantoch's eastern gate and reach the Ieffer Estate, the storm clouds had appeared on the horizon and reached the clearing beyond the broken Boarril wall.
Lightning crackled and rolled through the dark clouds. But no bolts rained down. Each lightning bolt streaked through the clouds in a self-contained manner, letting only the crack of thunder escape. And the storm suddenly came to an instant halt, stopping precisely before it overshadowed the traders below.
Nelphy, Zac, and Kriff were rushing toward the phenomena at top speed, with Dedric chuckling and running behind. All three of the young adults were fully focused on the unusual storm.
