Zac was silent. His eyes didn't dart around to the others in his group, looking for reactions. All Zac did was sharply stare back at Chowan.
Kriff and Jash were back in action again and charging toward Chowan. Though Kriff was moving at Jash's pace in order to make sure Jash wasn't attacked in the open.
Though Kriff had evolved lightning, he was starting to pant more and more with every block of Chowan's evolved lightning. That's why it was a better fit for Kriff to stay with Jash. They fought more as a duo, one focused on getting close to attack and the other focused on blocking all incoming strikes. Doing so kept Kriff from continually pressuring Chowan, but it proved to save more veita in the long run and keep Jash safe.
Luckily, Nelphy was a few bromes from the perimeter and always making sure to keep her distance. So Kriff didn't need to focus on her as much.
