"Nelphy!" "Aaah!"
Two different cries rang out from the north barricade atop the wall. One was filled with concern and worry. The other was filled with both pain and determination.
Together, those shouts attracted a lot of attention from plenty of people. A few people in particular, however, felt either their minds or their hearts quiver.
"Jash…" Nelphy sighed, recognizing the voice calling her name without a single thought. She stole a glance at the northern barricade and spotted the beginning of Jash's mad dash toward her.
Kriff kept quiet and reactionless but he noticed Jash as well.
Zac recognized both of those cries, sending two emotional tremors through him at once.
Chowan and Reece only recognized one voice, and their reactions were total opposites of each other.
