"Well, yeah. She was the support while Zac killed and fought it," Jash replied in a matter-of-fact tone.
Shaking his head, Dedric sighed, "Oh… Did she tell you about how she had gotten injured?"
Jash nodded. "Yeah, from the wyvern."
"Jash. Think for a second. Does an adult wyvern, a gold bounty beast, a lesser dragon, just injure someone?"
Seeing that Jash wasn't reacting at all, Dedric added, "Do you think a wyvern has any weak attacks?"
"No. Of course not…" Jash's words lumped up in his throat.
"Exactly. You think it just swiped a claw to give her a booboo?" Dedric laughed at the shocked expression taking over Jash's face. "Like you said, of course not! That beast tried to kill her! How do you think you would fair taking a direct blow from a fully grown wyvern, with nothing to defend yourself but your sword and your channeling?"
"I… I could evade!" Jash said.
