That night passed quickly for most. But for Kriff, it was slow, drawn-out, and irritating. He got minimal sleep and spent most of the early morning hours practicing his leaf cutting.
Bil had already told Bil that this was their last day out in the woods. So Kriff wanted to push even harder to snatch even the tiniest strands of progress possible.
Ever since Kriff started to nearly cut the leaf, Bil hadn't offered much advice. And anything Bil did say, apart from discussing their meals, seemed to only be casual commentary and not training tips, no matter how hard Kriff tried to dissect what Bil meant. That's why Kriff was so determined to at least make some kind of progress. It felt like he was stagnant, like his efforts would eventually fester if he couldn't accomplish such a simple task.
"Huh… I told you, proper rest can be a huge help," Bil sighed while starting up the morning fire.
