"What? They're not here?" Ayjen asked, getting hung up on that fact.
Hathon shook his head. "Nope. They left this morning."
"But… Why? It's the festival. Why leave now of all times?" Ayjen asked.
Shrugging, Hathon replied, "All I know is that the kid was super excited to get more hands-on training from his new master. And they'll be doing that while I finish up my job here."
"So they left to train? Even with the festival going on…" At a loss for words, Ayjen asked, "Did they say when they'll be back?"
Hathon shrugged again. "Sorry, kid, but I don't know for certain. Could be in a couple days, or in a week. Maybe two weeks."
Ayjen's shoulders dropped as he emotionally deflated. "... I see. So they're gone. And they'll likely miss the festival. Even though this is my only break for a while."
"Kriff was insistent to start learning ASAP. So Bil obliged."
Getting a new idea, Ayjen asked, "... Do you know where they went?"
