C-CRACK!
Piece by piece, the greater elemental crumbled away. Its kidney region collapsed first as the core rolled to the ground. It was larger than the normal cores and didn't have the strands of yellow either. Instead, it was a deeper brown with shimmering flecks of yellow throughout.
Nelphy picked it up after it bounced into her foot. She was astounded by it but not entranced. Within moments, she walked over to Kriff, who was getting pulled to his feet by Ayjen. "This one's yours. You earned it."
"... Thanks. But I don't need it," Kriff smiled and waved off the gift. "Why not use it to train? You use earth veita right?"
Curious, Nelphy outwardly asked, "You can do that?! How–"
"That core's too low quality for it to work with you, Nelphy," Bil commented while patting her on the back. "You would need a superior core at least."
