As Zac took the hammer and motioned for the party to move along, Orsen couldn't help but notice an unusual smile replacing the captain's casual grin. "Did something happen, captain?"
"Hm?" Zac returned to his normal comportment right away. "No. Nothing happened."
"He's just excited to confirm Canyon Cavern as a standard ruin. Or maybe he's hoping it's an advanced ruin? That would do it too," Bolton laughed and commented as they walked to the descent to the fifth floor.
A bit confused, Orsen asked, "I'm excited for a challenge too, but he seems… different."
Zac chuckled, "Oh, that? You just don't understand the influence of standard or advanced ruins. Having a standard ruin would stop the rookie mercenaries in Wikkun from venturing to Canyon Cavern. But it would attract more gold mercenaries to both Wikkun and Frantoch, along with some diamond ranks. And if it's an advanced ruin… Then we'll attract diamond teams and possibly a few meteorite mercenaries."
