The unguarded scorpion was caught entirely by surprise. Its eight legs collapsed under the impact of both attacks. Its normally powerful defenses were breached before the beast could summon any earth veita to increase its sturdiness. Thus, the scorpion's back was split open by Bolton's heavy attack, and its internals were fried by the surging lightning. And the scorpion's head was run through by Zac's piercing tactic of wind and lightning, lacerating the more fragile head with ease due to the lowered defenses.
Hearing the dying cry of its mate, the ten-brome scorpion jolted around. It saw the life forcefully fade out of its partner.

Disregarding Bil, the scorpion skittered across the ground with great speed. Its fury was locked onto its mate's killers and its snapping mandible chomped on the air, displaying what it wanted to do to Zac and Bolton.
