With the hidden boss appearing so soon, it allowed the party to get some proper rest. It took some time for them to gather what was left of the snake carcasses but it was worth it. A fire was started and Bil was already seasoning some snake steaks for the entire party.
Everyone was ecstatic at both the aroma and the taste of the dinner. To them, it was the perfect celebration of their first boss victory.
"... Hey, Bolton." Zac looked up between bites, suddenly looking a bit worried. "Was it just me, or was that boss gold rank?"
"Oh, it was definitely gold rank. That's how it easily fed on the bronze and steel mercenaries of this supposedly amateur ruin," Bolton replied without any remorse or hesitation. "That's why I'm not entirely sure how far we'll go. If we're encountering this on just the first floor, then what's waiting for us on floor five?"
