Chapter 156 - Lightning Chateau

As the sun was setting, Bolton and Jash raced through Boarril and the east gate. They then took the outer roads to reach North District without going through the crowded market.

Entirely silent, Bolton never spoke a word to Jash, nor did he look back to check on him. Already, Bolton felt he was considerate enough by not using his lightning to rush past the young man. So, keeping a steady, break-neck pace was all Bolton could tolerate while thinking about his son's death. 

Once the sun was finally set, they reached their destination. They were now standing at the foot of a huge hill at the northernmost part of North District, packed up against the city wall. Surrounding that hill was a perimeter of smaller walls and guarded entry points. Atop that hill were multiple buildings, including the castle belonging to Lightning Chateau and the city lord. 

"Passports," one guard called out, spotting the duo.
