As the sun descended from its noonday peak, Nelphy left the cafe cart in Nora's control. She wanted to visit Zac's apartment while they were in the neighborhood and didn't want to waste time.
Nelphy moved at a decent pace, not quite a run but not quite a walk. Soon, she found the apartment building and made her way up to the second floor, following the directions to a tee. She then knocked on the door and patiently waited. A minute passed… So Nelphy knocked again. After the third knock, Nelphy sighed and started writing a note.
"Hellooo…" a voice greeted as the door cracked open. "Huh? Oh, Nelphy! What brings you here?"
Blinking, Nelphy put her notepad away. "Jash told me about the expedition so I came to confirm it with you."
"Great! I'd love to have you and him in the squad. Did he already tell you about pay?"
"Yup! One gold coin a day, with the chance of getting more if it's more difficult than expected," replied Nelphy.
