Sighing, Bil retracted the flames and stood up. "But that's enough about the flames. What else do you want to ask me?"
"Umm… The shield, and that weird weapon you used! Since when have you had anything like that?" Jash questioned.
Bil answered, "For a few years."
"But I thought you were a swordsman?"
"Nope. I've fought with just about every weapon I was able to get my hands on," replied Bil. "If it can cause harm, I've probably killed someone with it."
"That… wha-wha…" Jash's thoughts failed to translate into words as he inferred something from Bil's statement, reminding him of something.
Bil spoke up, "Jash, you already know I can be heartless to anyone that dares threaten me or those I care about. Are you really shocked that I've killed a lot of people?"
