Shrugging, Zac replied, "That would depend on your contribution. Like I said, Lightning Chateau is the employer for this job. I've just been hired to put a squad together to tag along, lead, and protect them while the lightning and swords disciples document the new path. If you put forward a sizeable contribution, then there might be a chance to negotiate a percentage at that point in time."
"What about for me and Nelphy? Will our pay be–"
"Sorry, Jash, but you two won't be able to negotiate your cut, for the time being," Zac stated. "You see, as the old vet has likely figured out, there's a limit to how much I can spend as the man putting the party together. That's why I can have up to five but am not required to have so many. I could also just hire this old barkeep and I'd be happy splitting the reward fifty-fifty."
