Chapter 36 - A Part Time Job

These few days Jasmine had chosen to avoid Leon. Ever since her conversation with Raphael, Jasmine had always been restless thinking about her relationship with Leon. Her restless heart proved that she still doubted the love of this young master.

Today the girl is walking alone after coming home from school. Staring at the passing of people who are active in rush hour from the sidewalk. She wants to go to her new job place. The sky is very cloudy at that time, and the cold wind blowing made Jasmine's hair goosebumps. Suddenly ….

Sssshhh...

[Eh… It's raining.] Jasmine looks up at the sky. Water pours down on her beautiful face.

These few days Jasmine keeps herself busy by returning to part-time work. Forgetting her worries about her love relationship with the Naughty Cat. Jasmine chooses to put everything in God's will. She is sure that something beautiful would happen when she gives her love sincerely to Leon.

"I have to hurry, there's no time." Jasmine covers her head with a sling bag. Today she is working part-time in a five-star hotel. The hotel has just opened, and today is the soft opening gathering event.

Jasmine's neighbor, Ellenor, asked her to be a waitress at the lavish dinner. One of her coworkers suddenly resigned. Jasmine did not waste this opportunity. Being a freelance waitress isn't bad, even if you're lucky you'll have a lot of guests giving you tips.

"Ah, so lucky, if I'm just a little late I'll get wet," Jasmine says when she arrives at the back door of the hotel, a special entry and exit point for employees.

An older girl than Jasmine approaches her. She is Ellenor, Jasmine's neighborhood friend.

"Change your clothes into this uniform, Jasmine." Elle gives her a maid uniform, consisting of a white shirt, black vest, and a black tight skirt.

"Okay, Elle."

Soon Jasmine is ready, wearing her uniform and pinning her hair to make it look neat.

"Sorry, the name tag is not yours." Elle pins a small badge on Jasmine's chest, but it was owned by her coworker who had resigned due to a sudden fever.

"No problem, it's okay, thanks for helping me make money." Jasmine smiles, of course, she is grateful for the job, so the wrong name tag doesn't matter.

"All right, let's go to the kitchen. They said the hotel owner herself would give us a briefing." Elle rushes to take Jasmine to the kitchen. Jasmine nods, following her steps.

A large room full of steamed soup, the smell of stir-fry, and various kinds of processed meat are immediately served in front of Jasmine. making Jasmine's saliva almost drip from it. It had been a long time since Rosie and Sanchez had left the city for the village, and that was when Jasmine had lost the figure of Sanchez who always came home with leftover meat from the restaurant.

"Hold it! If we can eat the rest after the party is over," Elle whispers, Jasmine, nods happily.

"Hurry up!!" the manager shouts at them both.

"Okay, sir."

Dozens of people, consisting of chefs, waiters, and cleaning services gather, forming a small line on the right and left of the serving table. The long glossy steel table is full of food samples. Before long, a beautiful and graceful woman walks in. Her dress is so luxurious, the dress she is wearing drags on the floor.

Full make-up, beautifully styled hair, jewels studded with diamonds, and the scent of her body that comes from expensive perfume make Jasmine chuckles in awe.

That woman is none other than Kyara Torres, the great madam of the Elverne family. She comes, walking slowly towards the serving table, tasting one by one the food that would be served to her guests. She decides to review and monitor everything on her own, not wanting any trouble at her party tonight. This is what she did for the sake of her family's dignity because tonight; the Aldebaran family will attend the dinner party.

"Good, all prepared well," she says, nodding in satisfaction.

"We will do our best for tonight, madam!" exclaims the manager of the food and beverage department, followed by all his subordinates.

"Good! Good job!! I don't give tolerance to anyone who makes a mistake." Kyara gives advice.

Kyara's eyes scan the faces of her maids one by one. She accidentally sees face to face with Jasmine, a jolt shakes her heart, there is a remaining dislike that comes from Rosie's figure. But she is relieved again when she reads the name tag on Jasmine's left chest. it has Carol's name, not Jasmine.

[It must be just my imagination, there's no way that illegitimate child managed to live until now.] Kyara thinks as she rushes out of the kitchen.
