Do you know that flower has a language?

What is the language of the jasmine flower?

The language of the jasmine flower is sacred love. It symbolizes the beauty and sensuality of a woman. Some cultures consider jasmine to represent appreciation and good luck. If you use it in religious ceremonies and weddings, then jasmine represents purity. Meanwhile, jasmine in the procession of death is a symbol of farewell or saying goodbye.

Then what's about Jasmine in this story? Will she bring the sweetness of love or the bitterness of separation?

— JUST MINE —

The sounds of thunders roar through the sky, making a long rumble and shaking the window panes. It is late at night, and there is no sign that the heavy rain will stop.

BOOM!!

A sturdy man throws a suitcase outside the house. The worn bag is quite large and heavy. He puts all the clothes and belongings of his concubine and her daughter into the suitcase.

"Sir, please!! Don't kick us out, Sir!" A woman screams. She begs under the man's feet, begging for mercy.

A little girl is crying beside her, standing sobbing while carrying her favorite rabbit doll. The doll is shabby because it has been with her for four years without getting a new one.

"GET OUT!! Thank God I don't kill you!" The man kicks the woman until she falls backward.

"Sir, I beg you, Jasmine is your daughter!!" But the man still looks away.

"Madame, I beg you !! Jasmine is your granddaughter." She cannot persuade her husband. The poor woman turns to an older family member, hoping that age will make her behave wisely.

"Get off my feet, get out of here!!" But the old lady prefers to ignore her or her granddaughter.

"Let the two of us stay just for this night. It's raining hard outside." She is crying for mercy.

"Rosie, my patience has limits!! Stop whining and get out of here! I've already given some money in the suitcase for you and Jasmine!" He snaps his concubine.

"Please, Mr. Richo, remember our affair. I love you." The woman is crying, moaning under her master's feet. Rosie is not his legal wife, she is a maid in his house.

"I used to impregnate you because I hoped your child could become a sacrifice so that my wealth lasted for seven generations!" Richo argues. Rosie gasps in shock.

El Richo is a greedy man who is crazy about wealth. He does not hesitate to use the services of shamans or mystical powers to multiply his wealth. Like his ancestors, who always sacrificed their first child as a sacrifice. Richo was looking for a scapegoat. He impregnated Rosie, his maid, who was still young and innocent.

Rosie is a gentle and kind woman. She is just unlucky to be born alone. Her grandmother who took care of her, died when Rosie was 15 years old, so the young girl had to live overseas, from working in laundry to a cleaning service employee. Mrs. Aliana brought Rosie to work as a maid at their residence.

El Richo seduced Rosie, who was 17 at the time. Rosie was pregnant. When she entered her fourth month of pregnancy, Richo married, choosing a beautiful woman from a wealthy family he adored. Rosie languished. Her story was dark and bitter again. But Rosie survived, survived for the sake of the child she was carrying.

Finally, the month of childbirth arrived; Rosie gave birth to a baby girl named Jasmine, her little angel, a beauty with bright emerald blue eyes. Rosie shed tears of emotion. She kept praying to the Creator of life so that her child could grow up healthy and happy, unlike herself.

Unlike Rosie thought, Richo's thoughts were the opposite. He wanted the shaman to quickly took Jasmine's life. So, that the promise of his ancestors, who sent the first child as a sacrifice of wealth in agreement with the demon was fulfilled. What's more, Kyara, his legal wife, was in four months pregnant.

Day by day passed, and months turned into years. Jasmine continued to grow healthy in Rosie's lap. She even grew into a cute girl who was very adorable.

"Why isn't she dying, huh?! What if the shaman prefers my daughter? Or even take away my wealth?!" Richo kept on muttering. He was scared because it's been almost a year, and Jasmine was still alive.

Jasmin was different from Ariana, the firstborn of Richo's legal wife. Arina suddenly fell ill and almost died. Frequently went to the hospital for treatment. Richo was worried, especially when his wife was grumpy, and blamed himself for what happened to Arina.

Until one day, Ariana almost died from a high fever that never subsided. Richo panicked, Kyara continued to cry and cursed. She claimed that Rosie and Jasmine caused all of this to their family. So, When the darkness and anger possessed Richo's heart, he finally chose to drive Rosie and Jasmine out.

***End of Flasback***

"Go! Before I change my mind and leave the two of you to that old shaman!" Richo goes into his house.

"Papa ...! Papa ...! " The little emerald-eyed girl is calling her daddy with pity.

"Don't call me Papa !! I'm not your dad!!"

"Granny!!" Jasmine turns to the woman beside her daddy.

"Go you, dirty girl. I am disgusted to see you." Aliana pushes Jasmine's body until she falls backward, just like her mother, Rosie.

BUMP !!

The door is closing completely.

"Mr. Richo !! Madam !! Please open the door!!!" Rosie is still crying while knocking the door, she is begging with her maximum pity.

"I can wash, cook, clean the house, I will work hard, please don't kick us out, sob ... please don't let Jasmine get cold." Rosie is pounding on the door, hoping for an answer.

However ..., only silence accompanies her sobs.

"Sob ... Mama, why are Papa and Granny so mean to us?" Jasmine asks as she approaches Rosie's body, which has fallen at the foot of the door.

"Mama doesn't know either, Girl." Rosie strokes Jasmine's face. She smiles in her tears. Trying to protect her baby girl's heart, there is no way she can tell her daughter that her father wants to kill her as a sacrifice.

"Let's get out of here, Baby!" Finally, Rosie get up. She covers Jasmine's head with the hood of a jacket. Rosie knows that only a jacket can not save Jasmine's body from the cold, but that is all they have right now.

Rosie quickly pulls her suitcase through the pouring rain, her pace galloping through the muddy streets, dirtying her long skirt. Rosie doesn't care. The important thing is that she can get out of the residential area immediately and look for a shelter for her and Jasmine. Poor toddler, she can catch a cold if she doesn't dry her wet clothes right away.

Rosie stops at the front of a closed store, just dry enough to be a shelter. Rosie quickly opens her suitcase, looking for dry clothes for Jasmine. Luckily some clothes can still be worn even though it's damp and cold. Rosie applies eucalyptus oil to Jasmine's chest and back before giving her a dry clothes. This way, Rosie hopes Jasmine will feel warm even though there is no blanket covering her tiny body.

Rosie scavenges the trash, looking for a cardboard box that can be used as a base for Jasmine to sleep tonight. Jasmine doesn't complain. The toddler is very smart and obedient. She sleeps soundly on the cardboard mat while Rosie is shivering with cold. The night cold wind hit Rosie's body, making the initially wet clothes dry. But the pain absorbs into the bone. Rosie continues to shiver. She become a cushion so that the wind does not directly hit Jasmine's body.

"Sleep tight, baby. I'm sorry, I can't make you happy like Mama promised when you were born." Rosie is sobbing, she strokes Jasmine's hair.

Rosie stares at Jasmine's face, which seems so tight and peaceful. Rosie prays in her heart, asking for God's justice, cursing the El Richo family.

[Someday, Jasmine is the one who will make you and your family suffer !! Someday, Jasmine will take everything from you, including the happiness of your beloved daughter !!]

After saying that in her heart, Rosie sheds tears and sobs sadly, weeping for a fate that is so bitter and dark.
