That was how I integrated into school.
"Jadon, Will you join us for karaoke on the weekend? The rest of the class is going." Sophie asked. She was lying on the floor. It was late in the evening when we finally finished the group assignment. We were in the same group.
As I studied more with her I came to realize that she wasn't just the looker but the most outstanding girl I have met. She was young yet so ambitious. I came to admire her passion in academics which led us forming a quick bond. We were friends.
"Sophie. Don't you think you should think about that after we are done with the upcoming test?" I said half laughing. I found it funny how her character switched from serious and focused to adventurous and wild in minutes.
"I know. I just thought to let loose some tension. We have been bombarded by these difficult topics the very first week and a test on the next. Don't we need a break now and then?" Sophie pouted. It was cute seeing her complain after she was already done.
"You speak of yourself, while the rest are cramming the words like it's their last. Anyway,I will. Have Andrea over next time okay. I miss her." I said nonchalantly as I organized the stuff spread over the short table.
"Such a playboy. You're breaking my heart, talking about another girl. I'll go now." She said standing and walking towards the exit. "Good night. Jadon~" She did a kiss gesture when shutting the door behind her.
"Goodnight." I replied.
"She finally left." A familiar voice sounded at the back of the room.
"Cal. One would think that you weren't in the room. Do you hate Sophie so much as not to talk to her?"
"I don't hate her. I just don't like her." Caleb said in all seriousness as if not realizing how contradicting those sentences were.
"Why?" I raised my brow.
Hmmph! He gestured.
Pftt! I couldn't help but chuckle under my breath.
"Jealous? You are still my first priority."
"I don't believe it. And yes, I am Jealous. Okay." Cal said as he stood up from his bed. He approached me with a stoic look on his face. He leaned closer and said. "I am very jealous. Jade." Caleb said in a hush hoarse voice that seemed like it was a restrained growl of anger.
"How can I soothe your jealous heart, dear sir?"
"What about a goodnight kiss. Mnmm?" He said with a smirk that said there was no room for negotiation. I had no take backs.
I stared at his eyes for a bit before pulling his collar in for a kiss. I let go when I was satisfied. It really hit the spot. This kind of skinship became a habit to calm the very angry Caleb who wouldn't accept that we had to have close to no relationship on school grounds.
