First day of school approached too fast. We had gotten the results and finished applying to the same College. Rather I matched the College that Cal was to enroll in. We had everything ready. As much as we were excited, we were depressed.
It was a previous agreement to go our separate ways once at school. Not because of anything too serious but because I told Caleb to make new connections and know how to to interact with others. Due to his whole secluded type life he never really knew how to converse without making things a whole level of awkwardness.
I wanted him to learn how different relationships meant. Of course, it was a difficult decision for me as well. I didn't like it but I didn't want to be selfish either. I would benefit from this in one way or another. I wanted to change my image. From the nerdy teacher's pet to something that represented me a lot more. It was going to be an adventure. I would be learning about myself as we moved on.
After breakfast.
"Do you want a ride Cal?" I asked
"Do you even have a ride?" Caleb asked with a dumbfounded expression on his face.
"Wait! What do you take me for? I even own a 5 star apartment, you don't expect me to have a car?"
"Well first of all I don't see a garage and another you just became of age, you probably don't have the license." He said it as if it was a conviction or a matter of fact. I was enraged.
"Caleb! Shut up! We will drive to school." I was so agitated that I grabbed his arm and pulled him towards the elevator to the 0th floor.
It had been a while since I was there and I forgot how overly spacious it was. It had a good and efficient structure with a compliment to its mechanism that proved to be useful. I was a masterpiece. One of the main reasons I loved this apartment.
"Here it is. My sweetheart." I showed Caleb my car. It was not an exaggeration to say it was a fancy type of car. It was a slim combination of a dark blue almost black tesla and a sports car with a shiny glow. The design was dynamic but the function was mind blowing. Especially the auto drive function.
"Wow! Jadon. This is amazing. I still can't believe it with my eyes." Caleb said with a twinkle to his eye.
"Believe it. Get on." I said with the most smug smile I could master.
We drove to school in full vigor. We had anticipated today for a while.
