Chapter 10 - Chapter 10 - Sickening Guy

This thought was full of question marks, why did Basten come to our room. I was hopeful. I hoped they didn't fight or whatever.

I quite know Achille, what kind of his attitude. His anger was easily provoked when he met his brother. Especially, when it came to Basten-who spoke too bluntly and seemed offensive.

Not long after, Achille came out of the room and down the stairs followed by Basten behind him. Their facial expressions looked different. Basten looked relaxed with a big smile as if he won the match. Unlike the case with Achilles who did not show the slightest smile on his lips. I didn't know what happened between the two of them.

"You're taking so long! Mom and Dad almost finished eating without you two."

"Sorry, Mom, to keep you guys waiting. There was a small discussion between us," Basten said casually.

"Oh, I see. Then, let's eat!"

Achille didn't say a word. He just sat next to me. I didn't understand what they have discussed before. From the look on his face, he seemed displeased.

All the food has been served at the dining table. We also ate the available food. There was no more conversation between us. Each of us was busy with our meal and enjoyed the meal solemnly.

After asking Achille, I found out that Basten talked a lot about me. Basten shamelessly, still curious about my relationship with Achille. And without any guilt, he asked how Achilles felt to me. I couldn't believe it, he lightly said all that to Achille. He really made me hate him even more. He's so sickening. A man who has no shame.

But, I forgot to ask Achille's response to it, how. Besides, I didn't dare. Let me save this question mark first. Next time I would ask him again at another time.

Time spun forward a few hours. It didn't feel like it was morning. I got up and glanced towards the front. A bitter smile bloomed on my lips. The well-built man must have left for the office this morning.

I've gotten used to this in the past few weeks. Achille never woke me up or he didn't want to disturb my sleep. I tried to think positively, that's all that comes to mind right now.

There haven't been any big fights between us lately. So, I couldn't possibly think negatively about his actions toward me. As time went by, I've gotten used to this awkwardness.

I got out of bed and headed for the bathroom to clean myself up before going downstairs for breakfast. I have to accompany him to the office today. I must not neglect my duty as his secretary.

Even though he didn't make strict rules for me, I have to go to the office. I just didn't want him to change his mind and punish me. He was quite mysterious. He was unpredictable, his attitude could change at any time.

I turned on the hot water tap because it was very cold this morning. It's winter now. So, all the water felt so cold it was bone-chilling. The cold air was also very pronounced. I didn't expect Achille to go to work so early in the morning. Even though the time was still showing at 07.30 am. I can guess that he probably left about half an hour ago.

Warm water slowly ran down my head. Instantly this ear twitched because it heard the creak of the door hinges being opened.

Maybe Achille went back to the room and forgot something, I thought. I continued to wash my body with water until it was finished.

My eyes widen when I open the bathroom door. The figure standing behind me was very familiar. He looked very seriously at a picture on the wall.

Why did he dare to enter the room so much?

I quickly closed the bathroom door again. My breath pumps up and down. For a long time, I was silent inside. I didn't dare go out because I forgot to bring a change of clothes inside. I kept going back and forth thinking about how to get out of this atmosphere. I thought earlier, that it was Achilles who opened the door. Turns out, I was wrong.

I cursed myself for forgetting to lock the door. How can I be this careless, not considering everything that would happen to me.

How dare he enter the room!

What an unethical man! Entering someone else's room without greeting or anything.

My legs were too weak to stand up again and I haven't heard the door creak open, hoping for him to get out of this room soon.

These eyes glanced at the bathroom doorknob. I suddenly locked it tightly without lingering. I was worried that he would dare to come here and do something to me.

I was still standing leaning against the wall so I sat down because my knees were tired.

I didn't know how long I'd been sitting in here. Basten had not given any sign of leaving the room.

I lifted my head after burying it on my knees for so long. It sounded like the door creaked open and then closed again.

I slowly opened the bathroom door and glanced around. I tried once again glancing left and right just to make sure the guy was gone. Right. He has gone. Ah, I can breathe a sigh of relief. I took a deep breath and then stepped out of the place I was hiding from earlier.

I stepped into the wardrobe. I gasped. The bedroom door opened again. Duh, I should lock the door earlier before opening the wardrobe, but it was too late. The guy has come.

"Basten! You ... Why did you come into this room? What do you want?"

He locked the door, removed the key, and put it in his pocket.

"I just wanted to talk to you?"

"Talk! But, why in this room? Why not outside? We can talk outside, can't we?"

"I've been trying to talk to you, but you always avoid me. So, I think this is the right place," said Basten with a wide grin.

"Please, get out of this room!" I was still holding the cloth that wrapped my body.

I wanted to change my clothes, but it was impossible in front of him. He was so unethical how he could comfortably look at me like that without feeling the slightest bit guilty. Especially trespassing. It was as if he had the right to enter the room as he pleased.

His eyes were still staring at me. I'm getting more and more uncomfortable. I wanted so badly to push his body out of here, but how. My strength can't even surpass his.

"You still keep it?" He asked me.

"What do you mean to keep it? What is it? What do I keep?" My eyes narrowed to see the object in his hand. "Hah!" I was utterly surprised. I couldn't believe how it got in his hands.

Where did he get it from? Why was that thing in this room? Didn't I throw it away? But, I threw it in my room.

All these question marks flashed through my head. I could no longer think clearly in a situation like this. I was worried that he would be so desperate to do something for me.

"Why, are you surprised?" He asked me in a scornful tone. His lips pulled to the right.

"Where did you get it from?"

"There." While pointing his finger. "You still keep this hair crown that I gave you. This is a memento, right?"

"No. I don't believe it! It's not worth anything to me. There seems to be a misunderstanding here. I never brought it here." I still don't understand why it's in this room.

"You don't need to believe it. It's here now. Do you still not believe it?"

"I threw it away a long time ago. I really don't want it anymore. It doesn't matter to me. You can take it back. Besides, I've been meaning to give it back to you for a long time, but you weren't around. It is in your hands, please take it back and get out of this room. I want to take a rest!"

"You don't have to dodge. This is proof enough. You still love me, don't you?"

"What the hell? I told you earlier. Isn't that clear? I don't want it."

"Hmm. You are stubborn!"

"Basten! Don't you dare touch me!"

Our distance was already a cubit. I can no longer step back. My body was blocked by the wall behind me. Basten's palms against the wall, about ten inches to my face. The scent of her body hit my senses, pulling back the past with him.

"Huh ...."

"Tell me, you still have me in your heart, don't you?" He said to me getting closer.

I swiftly ventured to push his shoulders with both hands as his face leaned in and was about to approach me.

"You bastard! If you persist, I will scream in this room!"

"Go ahead! No one will hear you. I guess that everyone had gone to the office, right?"
