The captain had put on an amusing grin, after hearing the story the girls had given him.
"I can't comment on what had happened between you girls. Yet, it is a crime as long as they had applied for a complaint. Some of them might want to do plastic surgery."
"Sir, they are familiar with all kinds of surgeries, so no worries." Bella gestured as if it was nothing.
A Sergeant knocked on the door and the captain permitted him.
"Sir, Mr. Qin Hu is here, he says that Lady is his sister."
The grin faded away on his face as soon as it appeared. His expression was saying that he knew the man he just heard of.
"Ladies, stay here! I'll be back soon."
Getting up, he went out and saw three young men. He knew one of them very well.
"Fu Xiamen, long time no see!"
Hu greeted him, stepping away from the men he was talking to.
"Qin Hu, what made you end up here isn't something we face every day."
"Yes, I think these gentlemen must leave. I'm here to take the girls with me."
The captain smirked, "did you menace them to change their mind?"
Hu shrugged, "I have my own tricks," reaching his hand out, they shook their hands, "since we finished highschool you didn't change much!"
"Can't say that!"
Qin Hu was surprised seeing him in this sect, he could imagine him being a mafia rather than a Police officer.
Xiamen turned to the sergeant and added, "go bring the ladies." As the man left, he continued, "do you train them to go around and beat people?"
Hu smirked, he couldn't scold them for what they did, however, it was childish and would possibly trouble Bella more. Her father wouldn't skip this occur simply.
"Not me, they had personal affairs." His eyes rolled on Dan, for a moment he forgot to breathe. She was fine, but she mustn't go through fights while being pregnant.
Fu Xiamen followed his sight and smirked, he liked the other girl. But he had no idea if Hu had such a beautiful sister!
"Brother!" Bella rushed to him, hugging him.
Dabbing on her shoulder, he released her from him, looking at her face.
"So, I see no scrape, it means I left her with the right person, but I'm still mad at you for picking a fight!" He patted her.
"She insulted Dan!"
He was looking at the blushed girl and smiled, reaching his hand for her and saying, "come here, it is fine."
Dan held his hand and a spark of electricity skittered through her body, beneath her skin. She controlled her shiver and swallowed. Until a moment ago, he feared this man to the bone but now it was gone.
"Let's go home, ladies," Hu stated and they nodded.
Mr. Fu extended his hand and showed the door.
"I hope I don't see you here again!" He noted.
"What are those two doing?"
Bella asked, pointing out to Chuan and Bam.
"Nothing, just ignore them."
Passing by them, the boys ran after them.
"Ladies, we have no worries if you are left alone!" Bam snapped.
"We are not troublesome, only those who mess with us are problematic."
What she replied brought a wide sneer on his face.
"Sorry, Mr. Qin."
"It is fine, do you feel good?" He was staring at her the whole time but she avoided his eyes, not letting him see her beautiful eyes which were filled with embarrassment.
"I do."
Getting back home, they had dinner and Xue came to the girls when the men went inside Mr. Qin's office.
"Mrs. Qin, we had adjusted your belonging in your room, please follow me!"
Mrs. Qin? It sounded odd to her. She wasn't prepared for any of these. Walking after the girl, she creased her eyebrows, this wasn't the guest room's path.
"Where are we going, Bella?"
"To my brother's room!"
Dan halted, what was that? In his room, she winced and trudged back.
"Darling!" Bella held her arms, "I understand this is hard for you but as long as I know, this marriage is real for him." She was wearing a face with mixed emotions. Her brother was a man after all and madly loved this girl.
Dan's heart began to hammer in her chest, did he like her? No, she shouldn't make this so big to her, it was sympathy, nothing further.
Bella led her to walk and they entered a huge room. Dan couldn't believe her eyes but soon when she saw the washroom's door. She was going to stay here, seeing him entirely, and he wasn't a random person. She was afraid of him, afraid of letting her heart beat for him and being heartbroken again.
Biting her lips, tears welled down her cheeks, her knees loosened and she sat on the floor, from the hard times in the orphanage, she ended up here, still going through difficulties.
Her emotions exploded out of a sudden. Perhaps, if she had a family to protect her, none of these could happen, and no one would dare to take advantage of her. Having a father could make her rely on his hard shoulders. And her mother's arms could bring her heart composure.
Bella embraced her, caressing her hair, "I don't know if it is right to ask you about the reason for these tears, but can I do something for you?"
She could not afford to answer in words and just wanted to cry. Her heart was heavy and hardened in her chest.
"Mr. Qin?"
Xue stated and quickly left the room, he was startled, and slowly entered the room. Why was she crying? He hated to see her tears, he brought her to make her happy, did he make a mistake?
"Bella, leave us alone."
Bella made Dan stand on her feet, kissing her forehead, she left the room and closed the door behind her.
Hu approached the girl, his hand moved out of his body and gently rubbed her black hair away from her face. She was still snatching her eyes away from him.
Dan pressed her eyelids as he began to clean her tears with his thumb.
"Do you regret marrying me?" He asked calmly and bent on her, again it was fear on her face. Why? For what sake was she afraid of him?
'This girl is tempting to melt my heart, this is too much.'
She swallowed and gathered her courage. Looking into his eyes, she fell into a daze. It was as if an ocean made of the accord, he seemed strong and the light that twinkled in his eyes when she was staring at him made her body heat.
"Mr. Qin, I don't regret it, I am just..." She gulped, biting her lower lip. 'Scared, tired.'
He caressed her chin, "Don't call me Mr. Qin. I'm Hu."
His tone was dry, he didn't know how to break this expanded ice between them.
"Alright," she answered briefly.
"Are you crying because of him?"
She could not deny that half of it was because of being bullied by that rascal's fiance. That silence confirmed it.
"I am your husband now, this marriage is real to me, and this child," his hand landed on her belly, "will call me, father."
"..."
She gazed at him blankly until only one word rang in her mind. It was so suddenly!
"Why?"
His eyes fell on her lips, blinking a few times, he wanted to confess his feelings but it was too soon, first, he was supposed to please her, "I know your parents."
It made the girl pace back with a flinch and let the space between them rule.
