"My Back is hurting"
I had to sit for hours listening to everyone's introduction but ultimately there weren't any variations aside from my presence and perhaps.
'Friends huh'
I looked at the side and saw Arthur and Vince talking, they weren't supposed to be like this but still.
I didn't mind but what I did mind was the prompt in front of me.
[ The world has acknowledged you, You are now treated as a potential candidate for the protagonist's Rival! ]
"Great just great"
"What's great?"
Aerin walked beside me as I closed the prompt, I looked at her who looked at me straight in the eyes, clearly she was currently jealous.
"Nothing, At least we have the whole day ahead of us."
I looked behind me and saw Mistoria and Diene who smiled at me when I looked over them.
"And I wish to spend that with you."
Diene said as she clung onto my free arm, right now she was the only one who could do this as Aerin was still publicly engaged with Eludin, well not for long.
"I hate to spoil your day but I have somewhere to go here."
"Can we come?"
"No, I need to go alone."
The three of them nodded even Tywin nodded.
"Come on girls let's go to the cafeteria, I'm sure the rest are waiting for us there and I'd love to know more about Mistoria and Diene personally."
"Thanks."
They followed after Tywin, well if there's things I like about him is that he can read the atmosphere and is genuine when he wants to learn things about people.
'Now'
I looked at the hallway which split into different paths, If I remembered going straight would lead me to where I want and that was the library.
A lot of people stared at me, it wasn't the first time but somehow I felt like I was objectified by some women and perhaps even some men it was a strange feeling.
As I entered the vast library which occupied worth three rooms and two floors, I went to the right side.
"History."
I remember when Vince was sleeping trying to hide his embarrassment from getting beat by Arthur in a match a book fell on his face.
It was a skill book, he then learned 'Ascension' it was a broken skill that allowed you to get stronger the more the fight drags on.
It allowed him to be a pest and even beat Arthur to a pulp until his plot armor saved him and awakened one of his innate abilities.
"Damn it, where is that damned book."
It was described as being dusty and had a ragged cover, but everything here is dusty and has ragged covers!
"Ah!"
As I was searching frantically I felt a slight bump on my back, when I looked at what or who I bumped my eyes immediately fell onto to the book that fell on the ground.
'Observe!'
[ History of Orbis Year 671 ]
"You!"
I looked at the person I bumped and I was surprised quite frankly, well maybe I shouldn't be since the plot had changed and the one in front of me had rumours circling around her head.
"Fancy meeting you here Ms. Lucille."
I helped her up and took the book and stored it in my inventory immediately, she didn't notice it as I took a random book from the side and gave it to her.
"I could say the same to you."
"What does the esteemed Lucille doing here?"
"None of your business."
"I understand, but."
"But what?"
I went near her till we were only a few inches away from each other, this was the last thing I wanted to do right now but teasing people is just fun.
"Would do the Young Miss want to make some of the rumours true? I certainly want to experience what a human feels like"
"Get away from me."
I did what I was told but her ears turned red, a faint blush appeared on her face, well Charm stat is broken in a way.
"I'll be on my way then."
I immediately left, I just didn't leave the library I left the academy and directly went to the association and hide there as I want to open the book since this was the only one that 'Observe' was able to identify.
-
"Well that was entertaining to say the least."
I closed the book and found nothing, it was just gibberish and information I already knew about how the continents were divided and stuff like that.
"Gods huh."
It did pertain something about the different Gods in this world, frankly it talked about the Church of Mero.
How the Church of Mero started the revolution of the human race and how it spread throughout Orbis.
It was a cult that evolved though to being a continent's religion, Mero was the Divine Being the human's worshipped he was the equivalent of well God in my previous life.
"If he is the one holding this world together then he must have died when the abyss finally broke through."
The more I thought about it the more it made sense, well I guess I did learn a thing, I stretched my body as it had been hours since I read the book.
"Young Lord."
A servant approached me as he kneeled in front of me.
"Yes?"
"Young Eludin is here."
"Tell him to wait."
The servant then went ahead of me as I followed him, before closing the door I looked at the book sitting on my desk one last time to see if it would magically lighten up and somehow turn into a skill book.
'Observe'
[ History of Orbis Year 671 ]
"Nothing"
I finally let it go, but something tells me I need to read more about what happened during the Year 671.
-
"Claude!"
I saw Eludin waving at me like he finally saw his big brother after a long time.
"What is it?"
"Can I"
"No you cannot."
"I haven't even finished yet."
"..."
"Can I join in your party?"
"Party?"
"Yeah."
"What kind of party?."
"The one where we raid dungeons together."
I looked at him from head to toe, while Leguna was the weakest but if we compared potential then Eludin had the lowest potential among the five houses.
"I'm sorry how does this work again?"
I pretended I didn't know the mechanics as to act formal with him.
"Its like this the maximum limit for a party is five! right now I already have three partners and we're missing one so I thought of you."
"I hate to say this to you but you already know that no matter what I have to be with Aerin as her personal guard right?"
"I know, that's why I'm ready to kick one of my friends out to make room for Aerin and you!"
"No."
"Then can I join?"
"We're already full."
"But there's two of you."
"Four and we're still considering who will be the last."
"I propose a duel!"
If I was drinking something I would have spit at him directly out of confusion and shock, I wonder what balls did he grow to come at me like this.
"A duel consisting of who? Us? To be frank If I was serious It would only take me to use one hand."
"Then I dare you to use one hand."
I could see him grinning as if he was expecting this, well It was a fun Idea to which I gladly accept.
"What's in it for me, you already know I hate doing stupid bets with stupid people."
"I'll let that comment slide but if I win then I'll give you a property of land here in Noryata! But if I win let me join your party or you join mine!"
"What made you this desperate right now?"
"I've seen Arthur."
"What about him?"
"I feel like he's targeting every female with his lecherous eyes, I've seen how he looked at Aerin! It made me uncomfortable."
That was the Eludin I know, doing stupid things for stupid reasons but I must say.
"I'll have to pass, why don't you try and fighting Arthur yourself instead of wasting your time on me? That way you can show who is the boss while telling everyone that Aerin is yours."
If Vince won't do his role might as well let this idiot in front of me do two jobs at once, being the first minor antagonist and rival, I wonder if this imbecile could grow from it.
"You're right! why didn't I think of that! but what about you?"
"I can't, I've been banned from fighting for reasons."
I didn't, I just know Arthur would accept and lose, while he would accept it would trigger a quest and would lead to a decline in his stats if I won and I certainly don't want to lose on purpose.
"Can you at least come with me and stay behind?"
"Sure."
This idiot had a smile on his face, I wonder how he would fare against Arthur, right now it was too early for them to meet but hey I wanted to watch this world burn but not with me burning along with it.
