Chereads / Surviving as an Elven Mob! / Chapter 9 - Journey

Chapter 9 - Journey

Currently I was at a special exit, this exit was used as an emergency Exit for the Royal

Family in case anything happens, I was using it as I want news of me leaving delayed.

"You promise to be good okay?"

"No"

I told my mother as I was preparing my gear, she like any mother was helping me prepare but unlike others.

"Don't try to slaughter any human who captured elves, make them suffer a bit more."

"I understand."

I hugged and kissed my mother at her cheeks, she's still young as ever as if she didn't age, well we are elves and when I asked how old she was.

"I forgot? I think I'm a couple of centuries old?"

I wasn't surprised by her answer then, well I walked out of my room with my mother behind me, space rings weren't a thing here but.

I had the system, I just placed my clothes in my bag but my weapons, rations and other important stuff were in my system.

Mother never really questioned me about it so I just rolled with it, as I went outside my house an eagle landed on my shoulder.

"I see"

It told me that the elves I've selected which all of them were previous slaves and some soldiers mixed in their numbers successfully arrived at Noryata.

Some that had arrived ahead of me there would help with the production, management of my business as well as guard it and some would be the attendants of my manor I purchased there.

"What is Claude?"

"Everyone has arrived there safely."

"I see."

My mother put on a smile, My father was busy as usual as there were increasing signs of humans trying to break in, I can't blame him though.

"Claude!"

I could see Aerin rushing towards me with her Father in tow, it had been two days since she and Mistoria met and sad to say the Manor was wrecked.

Of course I made the King pay for the damages and told them to use the Royal Training grounds instead of my own estate.

Aerin hugged me tightly, right now there was only Me, Aerin, Mom, and the King. I didn't waste time and kissed her in front of the king.

After a short while we separated.

"I just hope you two don't show it publicly until the engagement is dissolved."

We both nodded but Aerin didn't let go, shortly a carriage arrived, Mistoria who was still getting used to this kind of life arrived.

I could see Aerin was smiling as Mistoria arrived, she then bowed to the King first and greeted the rest.

"Claude, for you."

I took the small box from her, I didn't know what it was so I immediately opened it and found it was an earing, specifically a cross.

"Thanks Mistoria."

"We both got that for you."

"Oh an Alliance."

Both girls nodded.

"We'll be coming for you in Noryata so behave."

Aerin told me as she pecked my cheeks, I then looked at Mistoria who was clutching her dress.

"Do you wanna say something?"

"Take care."

She then pecked my other cheeks as she hid her face shortly after.

I nodded, there really wasn't anything else left to say other than goodbye's. I then sat on my horse.

This horse wasn't just any horse, it had been with me since I was young, I made sure it drank Mana Water, I also named it 'Roach' and by Roach it was a She.

I waved everyone goodbye as Me and Roach left.

-

"Ah Freedom!"

It had been two days since I left the borders but it would probably take me another day till I reach the borders of Noryata.

Though there were some bandits trying to approach me, once they saw my ears and my emblem on the robe they immediately backed off.

I could deal with them but I won't well unless they had elves captured or smuggled I really don't card what they're going to do since they're too far from Listeria to do anything.

A bird then landed on my finger again, it told me there was a small village up ahead, taking a break seems fine and even though Roach could continue she also needs to rest.

"Come on Roach, a few more minutes till we're there and you can finally rest."

I won't lie, I'll probably go out and search for opportunities once I arrive at Noryata for now I want to enjoy my freedom.

I then entered the village, it was funny how people saw me, they made way as soon as they saw my badge, a child even ran up to me but her mother immediately came to snatch her up.

"I'm sorry please!"

"Move."

She nodded and immediately ran, I don't know why but it kinda felt great to act like this, I then found an empty Inn to stay as I tied Roach outside.

"How much for the night."

"I-it's free"

I immediately pulled out ang gave him five pieces of gold, he was surprised, I then stretched my hands out.

"Ah right."

The Innkeeper then gave me a key.

"Do you have a stable?"

"It's behind."

I nodded, I immediately took Roach and placed her there, of course I took the leash off, she's a good girl and she knows what to do in case of emergencies and that is too run until I call her back.

I placed my 'bag' in my room, I then looked outside the window, funny enough no one had the idea to rob me and I was waiting for it.

"This place is too quiet."

I jumped out of the window, as any normal mob trying to survive would I immediately took a look at the market and shops to see if I could get lucky and boy I did not.

As I was walking aimlessly to attract bandits, I tried to recall any detail about this town, sadly I can't it was just mentioned in passing the protagonist didn't even come here once but since it was mentioned I should find something.

I gave up after a few hours as I couldn't find anything. I then decided to go to the forest here, The air at the village felt polluted and it disgusted me.

I didn't even bother to know the name of village, no one still followed me.

"This really is just a boring place."

I sat on a trunk of a tree as I felt refreshed for a bit, there was a lake in front of me which made it all the more serene.

I then noticed, someone was approaching me, I could sense it was woman, based on her mana flow.

Shortly she arrived with a bucket on her hands, she didn't notice me, She's harmless as she looked like she just came here to get fresh water I closed my eyes to continue my rest.

I felt comfortable until I didn't, that girl from before was now in front of me. I opened my eyes to see she was face to face with me.

"What is it."

"I'm sorry!"

She immediately backed away, I stood up and looked at her carefully, she fell to the ground but I had no plans to help her up.

"What's your name."

"I-it's Diene."

My eyes widened, I then immediately grabbed her hand and sure enough there was a small dot on her wrist.

"It hurts."

"I'm sorry."

It was the Saintess in the novel, one who would support and fall in love with the protagonist.

"It's fine, I'm sorry for earlier."

"Do you live here?"

"Mm, sadly I won't be in the future."

"Why?"

"Do you know about 'Fortunis' Academy?"

I just nodded.

"Well I'll be going there!"

"Aren't you a bit too open?"

"I'm just happy a commoner like me got accepted, It's my chance to change my family's fate."

"I see."

"Besides I feel like you're a good guy."

She blushed after saying that, I just nodded.

"And you're a good girl, so be one and go home it's late."

"Ah right! See you around! What's your name?"

"Claude."

"Goodbye Claude!"

Diene left as she took the bucket full of water as she scurried away, a hawk then landed on my shoulder.

"Follow her, I now have something to do."

-

The sun was about to settle and I was at a mountain with a mask on my face and hood to cover me entirely, I changed my clothes into something that of a garment a noble from

The humans would wear.

"If you don't do what exactly as I say then."

"What?"

"Ack!"

I killed one bandit immediately, I was currently meeting with the bandits that resided here, the village bellow which was named 'Leisl' was the target.

I then threw a huge sack of gold in front of them, perhaps this was the first time all of them had seen such a large number of gold.

"I'll be watching, if any harm comes to any woman or child know that I'll instantly kill you."

"So you're paying us to plunder? And let me make it clear, only Injure to the point of bruises but no blood?"

"Yes."

I then raised my hands and a giant circle appeared in below them.

[ Silence Level 5 : Silences the people inside the area for an hour, effect is greater if the enemy is weaker. ]

"You guys can't speak but you can understand me, If you don't follow it just look at your comrade I killed."

They nodded, there were about twenty to thirty of them which would be enough to raid Leisl.

'How long are they silenced for?'

[ Silence Effect : 4 Hours ]

I nodded, they all looked at me with fear and excitement.

"If you guys do a good job I'll personally reward you with a pouch each."

They all nodded in excitement this time.

"Let the night begin."
