It had been a month since I was transmigrated, my days would usually start with exercises and spear training with my father and it would end with me practicing healing spells with my mother.
During this month I've learned that my mother is more scary than my father, she wouldn't let me eat until I perfect a spell but thanks to my lineage I could easily finish her tasks.
[ Quest Completed : Mother's Training! ]
[ Title Earned : Mama's Boy ]
[ Title Effect 1 : Learn Spells faster under your mother, effectiveness, strength and duration of spells are increased when learned under your mother. ]
"Can't say I hate it, well I do usually spend my time with mom since Dad is busy training Elven troops"
As I was walking I looked at the skills I've practiced well skill rather.
[ Heal ( Level 10 ) : You can heal people at a faster rate, when healing yourself mana cost is halved and effect is greater. ]
This is what my mother has been training me to do, it was a free first aid kit and the mana cost was halved if I used it on myself and it now only consumes 10% of my mana.
She would send me to various people who had diseases such as coughs, colds and some small cuts until she told me to go higher and find challenging diseases or wounds.
I zealously learned and did my best learning and training this particular skill first since it could upgrade to [ Rejuvenate ] and I did yesterday.
[ Rejuvenate ( Level 1 ) : Heals you and the allies around you, can bring back life to a person nearing death, consumes 90% of your Mana ]
It was a broken branching skill but still 90% Mana is huge even with my inherent stat but this could help me in the future.
I won't leave myself to chance if ever it comes down to it, I don't know when my plot armor would disappear or even if I do have one, this is my greatest life insurance for now.
It is a double edged sword but I'll take the risk, I'm still trying to learn how to increase the skill.
"Claude"
I looked at the woman who called me, it was my mother, she was wearing a ceremonial dress, well contrary to my beliefs the elves did modernise a bit.
They wore formal suits compared to their usual fantasy costumes, well it does help that I'm from a noble family and we're currently going to the princess' birthday party today.
As for culture it remains the same, some would wear gowns made out of leaves the same with some suits, who am I to judge at my current culture anyway.
"Mom"
"We're leaving, your father is already there."
"Mm"
Mom nodded at me, she then opened a crystal, it warped us both to the royal castle.
-
As I walked with my mother, I saw the World Tree, well one of the World Tree's in existence that they know off.
The World tree was inside the Royal Palace to keep it safe and not let anyone contaminate it, in the original plot it was corrupted within but was cured by the protagonist with the power of friendship.
I'm not lying, the protagonist befriended the tree and made a promise to make the elves prosper as well as restore peace to the world in which the tree gave its blessing and final seed to the protagonist.
The protagonist did make tons of promises but barely fulfilled them as he died leaving the elves in a miserable state without any protection from the world tree since he died with the seed completely forgetting about it.
"Mom."
"Yes?"
"Can I touch the World Tree?"
"Why?"
"It seems like its calling out to me."
My Mom looked at me seriously, she then nodded and brought me directly to the world tree.
"We're here"
I nodded, I immediately then went near the World Tree, there were guards and there was a lot, they let me through after seeing my mother who nodded at them.
As soon as I was standing close to the World Tree I felt boundless vitality entering me, I lied to my mother but now it wasn't a lie anymore.
I immediately placed my hand and pressed my forehead against the tree.
"I feel your pain, let this little one be a friend and become a symbol for you, Yggdrasil, let this little one bring in hope and usher a safe future for your children."
As soon as I said those words the Palace trembled causing an uproar as there hasn't been an earthquake in a hundred years.
I didn't move as I wasn't afraid, soon I felt something wrapping around me, It was the tree's branches and I was now in Mid air.
Well screw me I was afraid of heights but I shouldn't panic, I heard my mother scream and the guards looking at me.
It was then.
"Ahhh!"
The World Tree opened a huge cut in my arm, it then broke off my bones, I could see my bare bones, during the entire process I wanted to black out but the tree seems to be giving me energy.
"What!"
I could see its branches entering my arm and coiling around my bone, It was painful but after a minute or two it no longer wasn't.
[ Ding! ]
[ World Tree's Blessing gained! ]
I smiled, and immediately then patted the vines that were entangling me, I felt its actual feelings now, the World Tree was sad and now it wasn't.
I looked around to see people around were also entangled with vines as if they weren't allowed to disrupt this moment.
I was then let go by the tree slowly but it kinda felt weird that the branches were still in my arm, I could feel the Tree's energy merging with me.
The crowd looked at me including my mother who was now shocked.
"Don't be afraid mother, the World Tree is just helping me."
My mother nodded, soon everyone was let go, it kinda felt weird being looked at right now.
Shortly the branch cut-off itself but it still entered my body.
[ Ding! ]
[ Title Gained : World Tree's Child ]
[ Title Gained : You were given a part of the world tree's essence, body and life force, your rate of regeneration has been increased, all stats has been increased significantly, your physiology has been purified by the world tree. ]
[ Race Evolved ! : Please select a race name, You are now higher than an High Elf after being purified by the World Tree. ]
"Well, I guess 'Altmer?'
[ Updating Race to : Altmer ]
I nodded and soon the world tree reluctantly let me go, I placed my forehead on its trunk and made a promise to visit it every other day.
I felt it was happy and soon it went silent again, I sighed and then looked at my mother, I don't know what she was feeling now, I immediately went up to her and hugged her.
"Mom! The World Tree told me I'm its friend!"
She now had a wry smiled and patted my head, the elves that gathered around nodded and didn't say anything.
'I'm sorry for the protagonist for stealing but I have to survive, the world will either correct itself or not but I gotta do what's best for me.'
My mom hugged me back tightly, she then looked at my face with worry on her eyes, I could see her green eyes clearly at this moment as if a tear would form at any moment.
"I'm okay mom!"
I smiled cheekily as if nothing had happened, she then nodded and recomposed herself.
I once looked around to see if anyone else was present aside from the guards and my mother alas my father was there who had a complex look alongside the King.
The King who was Alfelm Mara, he was a kind and loving king to the elves but a ruthless one to those who are not of his kind but alas as his daughter would fall in love with the human protagonist which caused a rift and falling out between the two.
He along with my father went near me and my mother.
"What happened? I felt the tree moving and instantly rushed here."
'You're not the only one who felt it moving the palace trembled but hey whatever makes you feel high and mighty.'
I looked at King Alfelm and as if we knew each other for a long time and smiled.
"Look Uncle the World Tree made me its friend."
I opened my palm and a sprout appeared.
"This."
