Chapter 28 - WHAT COULD POSSIBLY HAPPEN?

"Where are you two going?" Evelyn asked as she approached Jason and Olivia.

"We are going out for a while, we are bored to death just sitting at home." Olivia answered, holding hands with Jason who actually had a bored look on his face.

"So, you are planning to leave me all alone in the house?" Evelyn asked, pretending to be sad about it.

"Dad is at home, so, you're not alone." Olivia replied as she let go of Jason hand and walked a little closer to Evelyn.

"Aah… your dad has been really busy this days, he doesn't even have time for me." She waved her hand in a little gesture as she spoke.

"Mmm… why don't you pay him a little visit, I'm sure he would love that." Olivia whispered into Evelyn's ear, sounding a bit naughty.

"Olivia!" Evelyn whispered, as she realized what Olivia was insinuating.

"I have to go now, don't miss me too much… okay." Olivia said as she pinched Evelyn's right cheek lightly.

"Have fun, you two. Bye." Evelyn said as she gave Olivia a tight hug.

Jason on the other hand just stood there, watching the whole mother and daughter scenario happening in front of him. Olivia and Evelyn share a very strong relationship with each other, they were almost like best friends but with a longer age gap between them. Evelyn played the role of the best mother to Olivia and she would forever acknowledge and cherish the love they shared. This doesn't mean that she loves her father any less, she loved him a whole lot. Despite being a busy man, Henry always made time for his daughter and wife, he never missed any important thing that occurred in Olivia's life, that's to show how much he loved and valued family. Her parents were the most important things in her life and she would do anything just so they can be happy.

Something tingled in Jason's chest as he continued to watch them, something that warmed his cold heart. He had never experienced the feeling of having a mother, seeing them shower each other with so much love triggered all sorts of emotions in him. Even though Sophia tried her best to be a mother to him, it could not be compared to the feeling of having his own mother with him. Jason had no memory of his mother since she died after giving birth but he knew what she looked like through the few photos Sophia had of her and there was one photo in particular that he loved so much which he eventually made a locket for. Jason always visits his mother's grave twice in a year, on his birthday and hers and he dedicated those two days to them alone.

"Shall we?" Olivia asked as she rested her elbow on his left shoulder.

"Sure. Goodbye, Mrs. Smith." He greeted.

"Bye, mom. Think about what I said… okay." Olivia said as she walked out of the mansion.

"Mmm…" Evelyn made a small sound, still smiling.

Olivia and Jason had separate places to visit but they chose to go together in the same car which Jason will drive.

"Where am I dropping you off?" Jason asked, fixing his eyes on the road.

"Just drop me off at that end of the road, I'll walk from there." She answered.

"I will give you a call once I'm ready to leave." She continued.

"Okay." He said shortly.

Jason dropped her off and then zoomed off to his destination, Ryan's apartment.

*Ding *Dong*

"Jason!" Ryan said after opening the entrance door, with an excited yet surprising look on his face.

". . ." Jason remained at the doorstep with his hand trapped in his pants pocket as his slim lips formed a slight smile.

Ryan jumped on him and gave him a bro hug which was surprisingly tight and was also getting real slappy on the back. "What took you so long?" Ryan asked as he pulled away, returning to a more composed appearance.

"Took me so long? It hasn't even been four days." He said as he walked into the apartment.

"Ohh, really? I thought it was about two weeks already." Ryan replied as he shut the door.

"So, how has it been over there?" He asked as he sat on the couch.

"Not bad, it's actually nice there." Jason gave his honest answer.

"I can already imagine you swimming in a pool of gold and eating diamond chocolate." Ryan said jokingly.

"What!" Jason ached his brow as he repeated what Ryan said in his head.

"Forget I said that. How are things going with Olivia,I mean, has she told you what is next after the whole one month thing?" Ryan asked as he walked to the counter to bring them something to drink.

"That's for her dad to decide. Anyway, we will get divorced after four months and by then, she will have a better solution to her problem without me getting involved this time." Jason said briefly.

"Wait, you two are going to be married for four months?" Ryan asked as he passed Jason a glass containing a small amount of alcohol.

"If her father eventually accepts the relationship." Jason answered, collecting the glass.

"So, you're like an unaccepted guest for a month." Ryan took his seat opposite Jason as he gulped down his drink.

"Sort of." He replied, gulping down his own drink.

"So, you're like staying in the guest room at the far end of the mansion or what?" Ryan asked as he busted into laughter.

"No, I'm sharing a room with Olivia." He replied in a flat tone as he killed Ryan's laughter.

"W-what!" Ryan nearly choked on his saliva as he clogged onto his chest, trying to process what Jason said.

"What do you mean you share a room with her? How did her dad let that happen?" He asked after gulping some more of his drink.

"He was the one who came up with the idea of sharing her room." Jason informed me.

"He doesn't accept your relationship yet, he lets you share a room with his daughter. Like seriously." Ryan blurted out a little louder than usual with a confused yet surprising look on his face.

"I was also taken aback by the suggestion, honestly." Jason said, agreeing with the face Ryan was making.

"Is he not aware of the things that can possibly happen while sharing a room with her?" Ryan asked as he relaxed his face a little.

"What could possibly happen?" Jason asked the obvious.

"Don't play dumb with me, you asshole. You know what can possibly happen. I just can't believe he let his daughter sleep in the same room with a fully grown man, on the same bed. Wait, are you two sharing the same bed?" Ryan asked as he put a hold to what he was initially saying.

"Yes."

"On the same bed, all alone, behind closed doors. Just like that." He continued.

"What you are thinking will never happen…so, save me the explanation." Jason said certainly like he was fully sure that nothing of the sort will happen between them.

"I can bet on it, Jason. Before these thirty days are over, you guys will definitely do something 'Inappropriate' " Ryan stressed the last words slowly.

"How can you be so sure of that?" Jason asked.

"Have you seen those fucking curves, you won't be able to resist for long. Trust me." Ryan said confidently.
