Chapter 1 - BADASS QUEEN

"C'mon Jason, get your ass off the couch, and let's go for a drink." A man wearing a white shirt with blue jeans and trousers said as he grabbed his car keys from the table.

"I don't feel like going out," Jason said with a bored look on his face as he remained on the couch.

"What do you mean you don't feel like it?" Ryan said as he put on his leather jacket.

"Don't you get it?... I just don't feel like." A frown formed on his handsome face as he spoke.

"Don't you dare give me that attitude…. okay. We are going for a drink and that's final." Ryan said with obvious annoyance in his voice.

Jason got up swiftly and held onto Ryan's shoulder tightly. "I am only going to go for a drink because I want to and not because you said so… get it in that head of yours." Jason let go of his shoulder and left to get changed into something appropriate.

"Dumbass." Ryan cursed under his breath as he walked out the door.

Jason got into the car still frowning and looking uninterested in going for a drink. Ryan kept on talking throughout the drive but Jason didn't even spare a reply, so he kept quiet and continued driving while humming a familiar song. The car finally stopped in front of a bar, Ryan pulled out the keys and turned in Jason's direction.

"C'mon man, repair that face of yours. You look like you're planning to scare the entire bar with that face." Ryan said jokingly.

"Are we going in or not?" Jason ignored his comment and asked the obvious.

"What an asshole," Ryan said loud enough for Jason to hear as he got out of the car.

Jason also got out of the car and then the two of them walked straight into the bar.

~At the Smiths apartment~

"Mom, Dad…. Why do you keep bringing up the same topic over and over again?" Olivia said as she stood up and brushed her hair back with her hands pacing back and forth.

"Why won't we?... you always avoid this conversation every time we bring it up." Olivia's mother yelled as she looked even more frustrated than Olivia.

"Mom, I told you guys. I am not planning on getting married anytime soon, so just forget it already." Olivia said calmly with one of her hands on her forehead and the other on her tiny waist.

"No Olivia, we can't forget about it. How do you expect us to keep quiet when our daughter is of marriageable age but doesn't want to get married?" Olivia's dad said in a flat but questioning tone.

"Daddy, you know why I don't want to get married." Olivia sat back down and relaxed her tone.

"We know, but you can't keep having that mindset about all the men that approach you." Mr. Smith said thoughtfully.

"Yes Olivia, there are still good men in this world and we promised to find you a good husband, didn't we?" Mrs. Smith finally spoke after hearing what her husband said.

"Okay fine, give me time to think about it…okay." Olivia walked towards her mother, cupped her cheeks with her palm, and gave her a light kiss on her head.

Mrs. Smith wanted to say something but Olivia's father squeezed her hand and shook his head, telling her to say no more. Olivia also kissed her father then grabbed her keys and left the living room.

She walked out the entrance door and approached a black motorbike, she climbed on the bike, fixed her hair with her hands, wore her helmet, and zoomed off. The motorbike stopped not too far away from the bar Jason and Ryan went into earlier. Immediately after she got off the bike, her cell phone made a continuous buzzing sound that irritated her at the moment. She dipped her hand into the pocket and brought the phone close to her ear.

"What is it, Chloe?" Olivia said without allowing the other person to speak first.

"Hey… what's with that tone?" Chloe asked over the phone, sounding displeased.

"It's nothing, I'm just not in a good mood right now. So just say what you want to say." Olivia rested her back against the bike as she rubbed her neck.

"You're in big trouble," Chloe said with serious concern in her tone.

"What do you mean big trouble," Olivia questioned her over the phone.

"Don't play dumb with me, you know what I'm talking about." Chloe sounded so sure of what she was saying.

"Well, I don't. So just spit it out already." Olivia yelled over the phone.

"The police are after the person who keeps spray painting the walls of the city, and I know it's you. So, don't you dare lie to me?" Chloe's voice became louder as she said the last statement.

"Hehehe…. If that's what you're so worried about, they will never catch me and if they do, I'll find my way out. So, don't worry.

"Vee, don't be too sure this time. I heard you're a suspect." Chloe said calmly while feeling uneasy about the whole situation.

"Trust me, nothing will happen. And if I end up being caught, the least they can do is to put me in detention for a few days and they won't even dare." Olivia said reassuringly.

"No one will ever believe the daughter of the famous owners of Aerima goes out every night with paint cans and brushes," Chloe said as she rolled her eyes.

"Hehehe…. Well, they will never know. I have to go now, bye." Olivia laughed after imagining what will happen if her parents ever find out about what she does at night.

"Bye." Chloe greeted her goodbye and sighed silently then hung up the call.

Olivia dipped her phone back into her pocket as she walked inside the bar. She walked in looking like a badass queen, from the black leather jacket to the tight black leather trousers to the black heel boots. It was very obvious that everything she was wearing was designer-made and very expensive. Her brown eyes complemented her perfectly dark hair and tasty red lips, which any man would kill to just have a taste.

She walked to her usual spot and sat like the queen she is.

"My oh my, you sure look hotter tonight." The bartender said as he poured a drink into a tiny cup and passed it to Olivia.

"Thanks," Olivia said as she collected the cup and gulped down the drink.

"So, what are you up to tonight?" The bartender asked as he served another drink.

"I don't know, I'm not in the mood tonight," Olivia said as she tapped the cup lightly with her fingers.

"Why, what's wrong?" Felix asked as he attended to other customers.

"It's the same old story, my parents are still on about me getting married," Olivia answered with a bored look on her face.

"If it's up to me, I would want you to be a single bad bitch forever." A smile formed on Felix's face after he spoke.

"Hahaha…. Very funny," Olivia said in a sarcastic tone.

"Just saying, I can't even imagine what will happen to you once you get married." Felix looked at her as the smile on his face widened.

Olivia is the adopted daughter of Henry Smith and Evelyn Smith, the famous owners of Aermia, the top perfume-producing company in the country. Mr. and Mrs. Smith adopted Olivia when she was still very little, they treated her like their own biological daughter since they couldn't have their own. Olivia has never been interested in getting married and falling in love, she believes it's not important.

Her parents have been pestering her to get married for almost a year now but she refuses to. She is convinced that men will only want to marry her because of her father's wealth and she will never want that to happen. But right now, she is tired of all her mother's tantrums and she is ready to look for a perfect solution.
