Mortals truly are... interesting.. The simplest thing can stir them up and cause a huge ruckus.
They put so much effort into their daily lives and live their life on the edge as if any second
something will come in and send them to oblivion. If I really wanted to I could easily be that
god, a devil in their eyes, but they are just so damn fascinating that I can't help but want to
observe them closely. When you observe a mortal closely you can clearly see so many flaws and errors in their creation; yet it is those simple flaws that make them truly.. interesting. It's like
looking at a wilting flower that you know in reality it can be something gorgeous beyond belief,
but simply lost its beauty due to the simple fact that it's missing something in it's life to allow it to flourish.
Duan Cai leaned back in his chair as he stared at the window across the room from him. There were many things on his mind at the moment as he thought over how simple human reacts seemed to be to the things he'd do. He had never expected Leon to actually remove himself from the mansion after what he'd done. The more he thought about it he found his head aching more and more so he decided to shake that topic away for now. It was the last problem he felt like solving at the moment when there were other things going on around him. Another thing that was bothering him at the moment was the fact that he had not sensed Vail near by since last night. Usually he could sense the ninja hiding in the shadows from a distance but things had gone completely silent for someone who was as determined as he was.
"Bullet, here boy!" Duan Cai called out towards the door as he stood up from his chair.
"What the hell do you want?" Bullet grit his teeth with a sharp glare as he walked through the doorway after hearing his name called.
"Good, we're heading out." Duan Cai smiled approvingly as he started to leave the mansion with Bullet slowly following him from behind.
"You do realize the other bastard took the car when he left, right?" Bullet smirked as he thought that Duan Cai would give up on leaving when he realized there was no car.
"Who said I need him to drive me? Mortals are so simple minded.." Duan Cai muttered under his breath.
"Wha- Ah!" Bullet's eyes widened at the sight before him.
As Duan Cai knelt himself down low against the ground, facing the mansion's property wall, his legs bent with firm determination in Duan Cai's eyes. His body suddenly caused the air to shudder around them as he pressed off the ground. There was no attempt to walk out the front gate because Duan Cai did not feel like wasting time with his own people. Duan Cai's body was pole vaulting straight over his own property wall, without a pole! Gracefully in silence his feet landed on the other side with a smile on his face at the joy of the movement. It was a thrill he enjoyed and had never felt in his previous life. His pulse was racing at the thrill of the jump over the wall.
"What the hell?! Can't we just use the damn gate?!"
"No time! Get over here!" Duan Cai's stern voice raised itself loud enough so that Bullet could hear him on the other side of the wall. He did not feel like wasting more of his time than he needed to when it came to dealing with the others at the gate. There was also the one person around today that he hated seeing more than anyone. If Adele caught him leaving she would surely try to latch on to him to take her out drinking.
"The hell is wrong with this guy?" He asked himself as he glared at the wall in front of him with one hand behind his head in confusion at the sight. A heavy sigh escaped him as he debated on what to do next. If he refused to jump over the wall than he was sure he would be dealt with in some other way. He knew he could not under estimate Duan Cai when it came to his capabilities.
"Bullet, stop wasting time!" Duan Cai shouted once again over the wall at him in attempt to hurry the man up.
Bullet debated over the motion for a moment before pushing all his strength he could manage into his lower body. His feet slammed into the ground; launching him up towards the top of the wall. He had not expected himself to have as much power behind his launch as he had when he jumped causing him to over launch it. Quickly he tried to brace himself for the landing but it was too late and he found himself unable to control his landing as his body descended on the other side of the wall past where Duan Cai was standing.
SLAM!
Face planting himself upon the landing in a near by bush there was nothing but his feet and part of Bullet's legs sticking out behind him. Crumpling his face up in pain at the rough landing he struggled to free himself from the bush. He was aware his body had been going through many changes recently, but he had not expected it to be to such an extent that he could not control his own landing when jumping over a wall. It was causing his head to hurt just imagining how pathetic he probably looked when he landed. If was able to go home to the Kaen sect he was sure the others there would have found amusement at the sight of his failure.
"Wooow~! Do all mortals enjoy nature as much as you?" Duan Cai asked him jokingly as he smiled brightly at the roughed up Bullet.
"Can it! If you aren't going to help me then just shut up." Bullet shouted furiously. At the moment he had not attempt to control the tone in his voice towards Duan Cai.
Though there was rage behind Bullet's tone towards him it soothed Duan Cai to see the man acting more natural. He was not a young man like his mortal body portrayed him as towards others of this world. Many times in his past life he had seen others put on fronts when confronting him. It was something that Duan Cai had come to find very dull. He preferred when others acted more natural towards him regardless of his standing. It was one reason why he preferred to hold himself back towards others. If everyone was aware of how easily he could destroy them it would simply cause his life to become a dull thing worse than he had now.
