"A month and 2 weeks Kevin. And I do know more about Alexander because I am his wife and unlike you and your siblings I've been by his side and not far away and watching from a corner, plotting and scheming his demise" she said to him with a dangerous voice and he finally lost it. He pulled her violently closer, they were so close that their cheeks were a air breath away from each other.
"Awwwn, they actually look so good together " a woman whispered to her partner
"This is wrong, I guess there's nothing else to expect from Dystrya " the general's words reached Kevin's ears but Elaine mind was too clouded in anger that she didn't even notice that he was close to her and they were now dancing rhythmically to a slow music
"Look Elaine, if you don't focus on your mission and complete it quickly, I am still gonna be king and I will go to War against Dystrya. Remember Dystrya just got out of war and your father is still struggling to rebuild it back to it's glory, another war means more destruction and more deaths so think wisely Elaine before you raise your voice to your future king" as he finished his words, a sudden cold aura enveloped the ball room, the hair on Elaine's shoulders rose up. A menacingly dark aura left everyone in the ball room feeling suffocated that they had all started taking heavy breaths
"Wife" she heard his voice and finally realized how close she was to Kevin. She quickly pushed Kevin away and looked at Alexander with an apologetic look.
"Am sorry.... I just - ... it's not....we-" she tried to find words but his cold stare was starting to freeze her up and she fumbled. Kevin who felt fear creep into him decided to speak up
"Prince Alexander" Kevin called trying to act brave but once he saw Alexander's fist clench and unclench he quickly gestured to his guards to stay closeby. Alexander's eyes stayed on Elaine the whole time not blinking once, he could feel his blood boil and he knew she could feel it too.
"Hu-" Alexander hissed and grabbed her by the wrist dragging her out of the ball room. He felt it in his veins, his demon was envoked and if he didn't leave he might end up killing Kevin.
Once they were outside the ball, Alexander dropped Elaine's hand and swooshed over to a corner making sure to keep a safe distance from her
"Husband" Elaine called shocked by what just happened, it felt like he was beside her and then over there in the next second. How is that even possible? She thought, her mouth was wide open but her hands covered them fiverishly. She looked around to check if someone else saw that, but there was no one there
Alexander looked at Elaine through his thick dark eyelashes, his eyes were already blazing golden and he felt his emotions were all over the place. Earlier on he and the general decided to discuss political matters, the general took him away from the party and his wife. He felt bad for leaving her there all alone but he thought it might be good for her to interact with the guests more.
"Prince Alexander, am truly sorry for not disrupting you two, but there's something going on that I think you should know about " the general started
"About the shadow who has been spying on Elaine or the shadow's connection to Kevin?" Alexander simply blurted out
"Not just that, but my sources found a camp site where Kevin and he's men train day and night, most of the generals are in support of Kevin. And from the looks of it, the king has slim chances if he were to ever go against Kevin " the general explained
"But he won't, even though the king knows that I am in fact the heir to that throne. So you don't have to worry about him" Alexander said calmly
"Am more worried about u, your highness" the general confessed
"I understand your plight general" he answered calmly
"But just in case, we need to device a plan to counter attack whatever plan he's been cooking up in his brain and why it involves your wife" the general said calmly but in a serious tone
"Okay general, i-"
'oh my God, I can't believe just how shameless the prince's wife is' he heard a woman's voice say
'But they look so good together ' another woman said. He suddenly felt disturbed
'Prince Alexander would be so upset, how can his wife be dancing with his brother so romantically, and look how she's staring into his eyes. So disgusting' he suddenly felt a tug at his heart but he refused to believe what the women were saying, Elaine wouldn't dance with Kevin! he's the only one allowed to give her the first dance. It makes no sense that Elaine would dance with Kevin. No way!
"Your highness, people are starting to leave the ball so I should be going back to my family now. I'll take my leave" the general slowly left Alexander. Alexander felt immobile for a while, he didn't know whether to go into the ballroom and see Elaine, he knew he wouldn't be able to take it if he sees them together and just the thought of it was killing him on the inside
"Please don't be" he kept saying that over and over in his head as he closed his eyes and searched through the crowd of the ball room. Then at the center, he saw Elaine wrapped up in Kevin's arms, he saw Kevin pulled her incredibly close and she didn't react and instead danced romantically with him. How could she!
He's eyes jolted open and he dashed into the ballroom to find them, when he got there he saw that their cheeks were already touching and the slightest movement could result to a - no!
